Once the data that I sent to the claims office 2-3 times was received everything when fine and I got my money back. Once it was made clear what was needed and where to send it, it was a breeze to work with your team. Mahalo!

I wish I could give 0 stars! Do Not Purchase! They told us family illness was covered. Rental company never gave us any information about this Policy...we thought it was like others we had purchaed through Disney and other companies. No! We never received any type of Policy regading our coverage. They start quoting things from our policy and then They expected us to have our family member's doctor fill out a physicians statement to make sure his illness would actually prevent us from traveling. That is absolutely absurd!! We travel alot and have never had to deal with such a horrible company! We will never use them again!

I have been fighting with them to get me money back I understand that I won’t get my insurance money back 300 but I expected the rest . I had planned for my mom to go on a family vacation with us because she was 96 but was diagnosed with cancer and and she didn’t want to go after she had found out so I called to cancel our trip so I could spend my time with her by December she got cancer in her kidney they removed her kidney and she passed away in March 2023 cannot understand why I can’t get my money back when I gave sufficient time to cancel with this company so I’ve sent the paperwork they asked for but the same response no refund it’s been 2 years still no refund

Red Sky Insurance denied my claim for one reason nearly immediately, and then when I had a very clear reason to file a claim that is "Your transfer of employment of 100 miles or more by the employer with whom you are employed on your effective date which requires your principal residence to be relocated" per their policy, they dragged the claim out as an "audit" for over two months. I filed the claim in early November, and it is early January and still nothing from the company. I have called three times, every time told it would be processed "next week". The first "next week" was on 12/8/23, and the second was two weeks ago. Still nothing. The company is operating in bad faith - save your money and don't buy it.

My only complaint, and a significant reason for my rating, is that the claim process seemed to take much longer than was reasonable. My loss occurred near the end of September and it is nearly mid January before a final settlement was determined. And then that settlement/resolution came in 3 separate pieces of correspondence. Definitely was a confusing and lengthy process. But I sure am glad I had the Policy. Thanks Red Sky.

Absolutely horrible traveler's insurance. They will deny a claim instantly and THEN send you the list of what is covered WITH your EOB. By the responses to the other reviews, it is clear that they have a scripted prompt to read from to ensure the highest claim denial. No heart, no brain, no common sense, no compassion. Just making sure they keep their quarterly profits at an all-time high by deception. Just look at the BBB and their SIX pages of complaints. They are not even accredited by the BBB.People secure traveler's insurance when the unexcepted happens, things outside of their control. DO you really think they WANT to cancel their trips? No. Now, not only are people dealing with unexpected hardships, but you are also screwing them out of thousands of dollars in the name "business". I swear, I have never seen 'peril' used so many times in my life. There is no need to respond to this review. Red Sky is just going to leave some robotic and heartless response anyways.

I had a claim that was closed out due to an unexpected delay in my husband's surgery. Once the surgery was complete I then submitted the paperwork via email, it went into a dead email file. No where in the email that closed out the account did it say you have to call to reactivate the account I had sent several emails wondering why they had not responded. I finally called and then it took several days for them to see my emails.. I think you need better communication in your emails or a phone call. I finally received my check 2 weeks later.

Red Sky was very thorough in gathering information about my claim. Communications after claim was good. Forms are difficult to understand what is needed and filling the forms out was cumbersome. For that reason I am giving Red Sky 4 stars.

I went with this insurance company, Red SKY. This has been a nightmare, I've never experienced anything like this in my life. I'm in my 70's , with my serious health issues I couldn't make my trip.I have had documentation from my Dr's. Red SKY, has denied my claim 4 times. I won't get my money back. But, im not one to let this go. I will fight for justice. I've just heard they are trained to do this. I'm not the only one. Please don't give up and fight ?. It is a scam.

Unfortunate that I can’t give 0 stars. I cancelled my trip that was scheduled for Aug 11 only 3 days after the wildfires starting. Red Sky denied my claim because they said travel was only discouraged and I could have still gone to Maui. The acting Governor of Hawaii said in her second proclamation on Aug 9- “…nonessential travel to Maui MUST STOP in order to allow an effective emergency response to the wildfires;”. MUST STOP does not sound like discouraged to me. Apparently I was supposed to defy the governors orders and use emergency resources so I could go relax on Maui. Unbelievable.

It took too long to receive my payment. It would have taken alot longer if I hadn't followed up with them, which was at least 4 times. This was my second experience with them, first time was great, that's why I choose to purchase the travel insurance again. But the second time was ridiculous I had to call each time to move the process to the next step.

Do not purchase this insurance. No matter your reason for travel cancellation they will claim it is not covered, the claims process is complex by design and extremely slow. Absolutely not worth the money and a waste of time. Edit since I've received a response. The specific "peril" that I made a claim for was having to cancel my trip due to a toddler's life threatening medical issue. It's completely unacceptable that my "trip insurance" did not cover the unavoidable and unforeseen emergency cancellation of my trip.

I had a trip planned to Ocracoke and had to cancel due to my uncle who was suffering from lung cancer being admitted to the hospital. I am is only family left. I submitted the paperwork and was told I needed a form completed by the doctor. He was taken to the emergency room and the dr that admitted him was the er doc. I never spoke with him again. I wrote a long letter to the insurance explaining the situation. Two weeks later, on the day I was supposed to leave for the trip, my uncle passed away. I submitted the death certificate 3 weeks ago and havent heard anything. Someone else posted that they always talk to the same person at the insurance company, I have that same experience. I am waiting for a call back from the adjuster that is handling my case to see the status. Havent hear back yet. I guess I am going to be out my money for this trip. I believe this company is also a scam.

Fast and efficient, much better than other travel insurances that I've tried. Our trip was canceled due to the fires in Lahaina. I received payout in less than 30 days.

I am very concerned about your request for personal medical information from my family member / Guest and her Doctors.she does not give permission to release her diagnosis and her Doctors info. Due to this I cannot find a way tovuse the indurance I paid you for. I request my money back from this company due to pricacy and due to this information was not disclosed by you in advance. I believe this would fall under the HIPAA law. Please contact me about this issue as soon as possible.
