Update: More than six months after I purchased the car, I STILL do not have my permanent tag. I've never ever had this sort of horrible customer experience with any other dealership. If I could give Preston Mazda zero stars, I gladly will. I’ve contacted the dealership several times over phone and email, only to be first told that they are having paperwork issues at their end and then ‘waiting for a document from Mazda to get it finalized'. And this has been going on forever. I spoke to Selbe Hubbard (the person’s name mentioned in the response below) several times and still no resolution. To say I am incredibly frustrated with this awful customer service is an understatement. I was informed by my DMV that they will only renew the temporary tags twice which I already did. I will not be able to drive the car once my current set of temp tags expire soon if I still do not get the permanent plate. If you are considering buying from Preston Mazda (or any other Preston dealership), I would urge you to learn from my experience. Stay away and save yourself the frustration.

I purchased a new 2025 Mazda 3 Premium Manual from Preston Mazda in March 2025. While the sales process was smooth, the post-sale experience is incredibly frustrating. Four months later, I still haven't received my permanent license plates.
My temporary tags expired, forcing me to take a full day off work. I had to go to the Delaware DMV, provide additional documents, have my car re-inspected, and pay out of pocket for new temporary tags. This is a process the dealership should have handled.
I've attempted to contact Preston Mazda multiple times for an update and reimbursement, but they have completely ignored my emails. I have no information on when I will receive my permanent plates or any kind of resolution.
If you're considering buying a car from Preston Mazda, be prepared for a frustrating and unsupported experience after you drive off the lot.

I just had my first visit at Preston Mazda Service Department. I moved to Maryland from a different state. So I had a lot of questions. It was a wonderful experience!!! Courtney was extremely pleasant and very helpful. Great customer service!!

First, let me say I love my new car and so does my mom!! Jake helped both of us come out with the cars we want along with some cheap payments. Thank you Jake you do your thing #nomistakewithjake (tell him Alayza sent you lol) I also want to give a big shoutout to Kevin the finance manager he does his thing as well. He’s so funny and cool it was a pleasure working with Kevin and Jake.

I was in the process of trying to make a deal as quick as possible. After negotiating with other dealers Selbe and Don were able to give me the best deal! One thing about them is that they are serious when it comes to beating other competitors. I am very glad I got my new vehicle through them!

So I took my son to get his first car on his own yesterday. We sat down and worked his max limit on a car note. We got to Preston and a young person named Mia was our agent. My son identified the car he was interested in and Mia walked him through the car showed him the bells and whistles then we went inside to start the process. There was a couple hiccups during the initial phase, but Mia never once showed any aggravation or dismissiveness. Then it was off to the finance person. Initially the car was just outside of my sons maximum budget. But, finance person with blessing of the GM made it happen for my son. As a result of this experience not only did they ensure return visit from my son when he trades this vehicle up at the end of the warranty but I will consider Preston Mazda for my wife's next car.

Jackie and her Master Mechanic at Preston Mazda were amazing! They diagnosed an issue with our vehicle that two other mechanics had incorrectly diagnosed and saved us a lot of money. I appreciate their time and effort and highly recommend Preston Mazda’s Service Department.

Today was my first visit to Preston Mazda for service on my 2021 CX 5. Having dealt with many dealer service centers over the years, I must say I was particularly impressed with the customer-centric attitude and focus of Service Manager Brian Hunt. He was courteous, pleasant, interested and very helpful throughout the service check-in process. I had no doubt after our interaction about the service needed and whether it was likely covered under manufacturer warranty that the servicing of my car would be handled in a highly competent and professional manner. First impressions matter, and mine will result in Preston Mazda being my go-to service authorized dealer from now on! Highly recommend!
