Its Friday, 3:02pm on 2/9/24. My driver checks in to the shipping office and they tell him sorry we cant load you, you have to be here before 3pm, the loaders leave at 330pm. I politely ask if there's anything that can be done in an effort not to strand our driver in Maryland for the weekend (he lives in CT) and she told us sorry no nothing I can do. I have to say I was VERY disappointed. For a warehouse facility, that relies on truck drivers to keep their doors open, to be so cold hearted is just beyond me. Ive been in the transportation and logistics industry for 16 years and this is one of a very few times that Im just completely and honestly discouraged. Please remember this cautionary tale when conducting business with Capitol Warehouse on Stayton Dr in Jessup, MD. What an awful experience.

Capitol Express, a Kane Group Company, is assisting Fidelity Riverside Apartments in Alexandria, VA. This is unfortunate, because the Elme Communities and the Riverside Apartments property manager have had a lackluster, erratic and uneven tenure in managing the apartment complex. In early August 2023, Riverside Apartments in Alexandria, VA, hired Planned Security Services, subsidiary of Planned Companies in NJ. Riverside fired Master Security, but continues to face high crime, car & auto parts thefts. Residents are robbed & assaulted. Riverside has had 3 security companies in 3/4 of a year. I met the new team chief. He is aware of difficulties, having mapped out "the battlefield." . Most residents believed Riverside, collaborating with Master Security, had things under control. This is not true. The property manager considers bolstering security as simply firing 1 security company after another. He told residents he has no responsibility for tenants' safety, their cars, their health or keeping them from harm. The threat posture is high. In winter, 12 car driver side windows were smashed. Criminals & teenagers stole autos (Kias, Hyundais, Hondas, Toyotas, etc.) & car parts, including tires, tire rims, air bags & catalytic converters. Teens used TicTok tutorials on stealing cars. Riverside has multiple entry points, as opposed to 1, which would be preferable, & has no guards at entry points for security checks. Perimeter security is deficient, & perimeter lacking fencing. Many gaps exist. Criminals & miscreants can enter unguarded entry points & porous perimeter. There is inadequate CCTV. Riverside pledged improved lighting, but most parking lots are ill lit. Riverside often leaves loading dock & service entrances open, allowing criminals & malefactors easy access to roam buildings, tantamount to having no security at all. Homeless people are present in buildings, parking lots, etc. Planned Security encountered a homeless person in the community center multiple times. 1 business office employee advised if a tenant did not want to get attacked he should not go out after dark. Planned Security cannot compensate for this. Personnel cannot be everywhere, now largely performing perfunctory patrols, often parked in place. They have no experience, as was the case with predecessors Master & Silbar security. They cannot overcome porous perimeters, poorly lit parking lots, inadequate CCTV, bad security at entry points & buildings. The part-time concierge oversees package delivery, not security. Planned Security likely will be fired just like Master Security. The property manager has a duty to give quarterly criminal threat assessments showing trends. He does not, though he has the data. There is no transparency, a failure to communicate. This is why I believe the Kane Group & Capitol Express should have thought twice before working for Elme Communities and Riverside Apartments.

If anyone plans to work in this place, I do not recommend it, terrible, disorganized and the managers never know anything, drivers pass by all the time and that's why they don't last.
