The Students are always friendly, also the owner is so gracious and kind. It's a very good beauty school. Trinity did my color, and probably already graduated! I wish her the very best. She did a fantastic job! The prices are affordable and worth the visit. A+

I had appointment for 5:45 pm using my telephone number as I am a returning customer and my telephone number is in their system. When I arrived at 5:30 pm they tell me that all appointments are cancelled for today. I said I travelled for one hour for this appointment if you had cancelled my appointment you should have called me. The from desk staff loa la said your telephone number was wrong that is why we could not reach you. That was a blatant lie to avoid taking responsibility for not calling. She was also unable to accommodate me for next day to fix their very poor customer service

I live near the Frederick Temple Paul Mitchell School, but they provide no ♿️ parking and they wouldn’t allow me to park in their marked spaces that were closer to the entrance (see my review on The Temple Paul Mitchell School in Frederick). So instead, I started coming to this Paul Mitchell School in Jessup. Which provides 3 ♿️ spaces directly in front of the entrance. This location is a 40 minute drive away from my home, but it is totally WORTH IT! Everyone is so kind and welcoming. The staff at the front desk make you feel right at home. The faculty are amazingly talented and they direct their students with skillful precision, caring and patience. They ask if you need any water or anything. Everyone is smiling and the students seem very happy. The atmosphere is friendly and positive, the facility is superbly clean and aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. Kenia does phenomenal work with my color and cut, she is going to be an exceptional stylist with a very kind heart. I will always be happy to take a cruise down 70 to the Paul Mitchell School in Jessup to have my hair cared for in such an exceptional way and the ♿️ parking. Thank you staff, students, and faculty. ♥️

The people were super friendly and the gall who done my hair was awesome I highly recommend going and seeing her I was nowhere near the type of person she's used to but she went above and beyond and her teachers were right there giving her props on how awesome she done

I've only had great experiences with this salon, but my best experiences have been with the stylist Jhani. I now only want my hair styled with her & I'll be devastated when she graduates because she's given me the best color and round brush blowouts I've ever had. Jhani keeps great conversation and always makes sure I'm comfortable while providing fast and high quality services. If you want amazing services when booking with Paul Mitchell I highly recommend Jhani! I look forward to seeing what she accomplishes in the future, she will be a great addition to any salon.

Dispite not having my appointment noted correctly and the person I booked it with not even being there, the receptionist was able to quickly find a replacement. Alexa did a wonderful job with my loc maintenance. She was pleasant and very knowledgeable about loc care. I scheduled my next appointment. Best to schedule in person.

I was introduced to this school through a coworker who is currently enrolled to do esthetician services. She invited me over for a facial. I first visited the hair salon and the front desk attendants were very helpful and friendly. Then I went to the location in the back, near the Goodwill store where I received my facial. The students were all very professional. My attendant was knowledgeable, gentle, and accommodating and provided me with a very relaxing and enjoyable "spa-like" experience. My skin has been glowing ever since my visit to Paul Mitchell! Free parking and the service price list is reasonably affordable. I plan to return and I encourage you to do so as well!

Had a bad experience with the student and the instructor. I booked an appointment for hair coloring, was told they were not able to color my hair when I arrived. I felt uncomfortable and pressured to make an immediate change by the instructor, and all options I considered for my hair were shut down and not explained properly. Oftentimes the student would also disagree with the instructor in front of me, this made me feel very uncomfortable. The customer service and lack of professionalism is horrible, do not recommend.

Family member came in for hair appointment but last minute they seem super confused on what was even going on. The instructor told them they couldn’t do anything (perm or color) at all with their hair and they should leave. They were also shut down from any opinions and was told it “would look bad so no” without even giving a proper explanation. This place has terrible customer service and anyone who has respect for themselves should steer clear.

Last month, I tried to make an appointment, but Lola said I couldn't come in without explaining why. Every time I call, she has a bad attitude, and she hangs up when I ask about why I can’t come in. Her interactions with students and others seem unprofessional. I saw her arguing with a student last time I came in. It's the main reason I don't want to come in. She needs to get fired. Never coming again.!!!! My friends go there to get their hair done because you can’t beat the price and they warned me about it but I didn’t believe it but witnessing her attitude is just disgusting. Don’t go here if you want to be treated with respect. Customers steer clear of this place.

I needed a haircut like 3 days ago, so i called the school at 12, 1235 and 130pm only getting the answering machine (which said they closed at 5p). Called again at 233 to finally get a person who told me the same, 5pm.I drove 30 mins to get to the shop and stand in front of 2 ladies, neither of whom gave a greeting as sending a phone call between one of them and a stylist was more pressing. The one called to "see if they are accepting anymore people," even though I was told on two separate incidents they didn't close until 5. Asked with a smile, "Can you come back tues?"... Seriously?? My professional life has been customer service, so the 1 star is solely for lack of customer courtesy and professionalism..

i went and got highlights done by celina about 2 months ago, wanting to be blonder for my wedding :) I absolutely loved the way my hair looked and I was reminded by how beautiful of a job she did when we got back our photos the other day! thank you!

Deshawn Is a great communicator I needed an appointment that unfortunately couldn't be done because my hair is weaved. But she is the only rep there that explained this to me and tried to accommodate my last-minute needs. Keep shining Deshawn.
