Great experience with Sunair Awnings. My awning needed some adjustments. The technician (Bill) called to let me know that he was on his way. No waiting around. Bill was polite and very efficient. Very solid company!!!

This company was very easy to work with and communicated consistently throughout the ordering and installation of the awning I ordered. Materials used are high quality and their warranty is excellent. I have a family member who purchased an awning from this company many years ago which has stood up to the test of time. I highly recommend this company.

We had a retractable awning installed over our deck 8 yrs ago. It has added so much to our house and lifestyle. After all this time it still looks like new. When it wears out, as everything does, we will replace it in a heart beat.

Watch out for Sunair's bait&switch practices! Not exactly, but.... Whilst our review related to our satisfaction for what was finally very recently installed is still up in the air, the total absence of customer service by so-called Sunair upper management is what is problematic. 1. Response in writing from Sofia at Sunair about our awning repair/replacement was as follows: "We would have our dealer Clark Awnings come do a service/repair call for you. So, depending on what they charge for service call you could possibly end up needing a new motor which would be around $500 dollars. But you would get the 1-year warranty with the new motor saving money down the road. Then depending on the condition of the fabric that could be another $800 dollars estimated down the road you could spend, totaling somewhere around $1,300 estimated. But the frame and fabric look like they are in great shape so you may only need a new motor if that is the case. Purchasing a brand-new unit would be around $3,500 estimated but with a 15-year warranty and years more of hassle-free years of life." 2. We stopped shopping around and authorized our Property Manager to have the awning replaced. We were shocked that the final costs ended up being $6,168. Sofia apologized profusely in writing admitting that she had made a "mistake." 3. We requested a "courtesy" discount be given but all to no avail. Sofia explained that she had asked her "boss" to compensate us for "her mistake" but the bossman had said NO. Shame on him. Even the slightest of courtesies would have sufficed to assuage a lasting impression of having been ripped-off by a company that does not put Customer Service First.

Been a dealer and user for 35 yrs. Coverig entire Caribbean for thousands of customers. Great product + high quality people. Would not change them for the life of it! Most problems mentioned are sales related. That is always a problem. A good rep will yield great results.

We are having unanticipated problems with our new awning. Because we are an end unit and our deck is up high, we seem to be experiencing wind gusts. Our new awning bounces up and down with minimum wind speeds. We’ve already had to have service people from this company come out for a service call when the pitch of the awning became uneven. Any wind over 8 miles an hour causes us to bring in the awning. We aren’t able to use it much. We were told it could withstand up to 30 mph wind speeds. We feel the salesman should have cautioned us before we purchased. We were novices and he had been in the business for over 20 years. Having the service department return my telephone calls was also a problem.

I contacted Sunair about having some solar screens installed on my back porch. A salesman came to the house on 07/24/19 and took photos and measurements and said he would work up a price and get back in touch. It is now 09/13/19 and I am still waiting for estimate. This is after calling them 3 times wondering where my estimate is. I do not recommend Sunair.
