After years of getting my vehicles serviced at Dan's, I will not be taking my business there anymore sadly. I brought my vehicle in for a power bleed and was told a total of 120 dollars, which I thought was reasonable. I get a call today and was told some extra work had to be done and the total now was a total of $532. Well above my expectations and budget. I was never told these problems needed to be addressed. When i said I would have addressed them on my own, the owner stated "it was my decision to not call you and get the work done because then I would have to account for putting the vehicle on the lift." I was flabbergasted by this, paid my bill and will never recommend Dan's again.

My air conditioning wasn't working, and my son was in a wheelchair at the time, I already had the run around at another shop, so I looked for a second opinion. They graciously allowed us to wait for their technicians, checked the freon levels, and easily found that my condenser needed to be replaced, unlike another shop who chose not to check the freon levels, the condenser, and had me on a wild goose chase thinking it was knobs and hoses which were clearly working. I am so thankful for their second opinion, and their warm, and generous attitude. Thank you so very much for all of your time and hard work.

I've been frequenting Dan's automotive for more than a decade. They are honest, hardworking, and will go above and beyond to serve you. I trust Dan's to fix my car right the first time, and not rake me over the coals financially in the process. times are tough economically. Dans does good work at a fair price. I wouldn't hesitate to take any vehicle there for any reason at all.

I recently bought a used camper, and took it to Dan's Auto for inspection. I was greeted and treated by a very friendly staff. My service tech, Brian, was very helpful, but took the time to answer my many questions, explained and demonstrated some easy techniques involved with my camper. I highly recommend this fabulous business.

I made an appointment for a state inspection and dropped my car off in the morning. I was told that it would be done that morning if I dropped it off early, which I did. I needed the car later that evening. When I called in the afternoon it was still not done, and I was told that they would get to it first thing in the morning (I needed it to get to work the next day as well). When I called the next day, they said that they wouldn't be able to get to it until the afternoon. They finally called me at 2:30 in the afternoon, so I missed the whole work day. I expected some better customer service, but that was not my experience here.Service: Vehicle Inspection

We were on the highway driving down from Pennsylvania with our young kids to visit my brother in Washington DC when our engine started sputtering and the car started shaking. We pulled over, googled the symptoms and immediately looked for a mechanic. We pulled in around 4pm and they were closing at 5pm. John and Evelyn were so helpful, found us parts, had the parts delivered and stayed late with us to get us taken care of. John fixed our car and we were back on the highway in a few hours. This could have been a much more difficult and dire situation for us. Price was reasonable too for an emergency situation like ours. We're so thankful to have come across Dan's Automotive when we were in desperate need of help!Service: Electrical repair

I miss Dan. Moved to Texas but when I was in MD he was my go to guy. Used him when he was fresh starting out in a small rented garage behind a house near Rosedale.

Took my car to national budget. On July 14th 2022. They diagnosed my car wrong 3 times. They did a tune up, ignition coil, a cpu swap. Installed parts wrong… etc. The mechanics at national budget gave up they took my car to dans automotive. He had it for a week and told me ahead of time he was swamped. Prolly because his garage does great work. Anyhow. August 26th I got my car back. Drives great. Just bring your car here they will take care of it.
