The store was very clean and has a lot of options. However it is sad to see only one employee working a lot of the time. I saw Mary take my $5 coupon even though see didn't notice that I saw the theft of of her being sneaky when I was putting my items in the cart. She also was trying to get me to buy less because it was clearance items. She explained she had to manually ring each item and I had an entire cart full of merchandise. I was shocked she took my coupon thinking I did not notice! This problem should be rectified immediately! Being as though she was the only employee I wasn't able to handle this with anyone! However I was glad to not be followed like the store in Pasadena!

This was my favorite DG, but since some other employees that made the shopping experience pleasant, are gone now. I barely go in there anymore. Some of the employees have bad attitudes. Every single time you go in there. It's annoying. If the job is a part time and you dont like it, get a new one. Nobody wants to come in there and deal with your attitude. I understand why it's hardly nobody shopping in there when I go. Do better with that customer service.

The people here are amazing and they work really hard, but the company itself is trash. The GM is working 70 hrs a week and only getting paid for 48. Closing the store by themselves which is a safety issue. DG needs to get it together.

This dollar general is much better than the Edgewood location. Joppa DG is clean, staff is nice. The store manager Tiana, is so helpful. Often by herself, but very nice young lady. One day I was there she had two pallets of frozen food to put away— and had to run the register. To maintain a positive environment and still be friendly was amazing. That store manager is beyond awesome, and she can definitely prosper to higher places. She needs a good raise. Love my Joppa DG

This is the most ghetto store I have ever visited. In 2-10-2024, the so called manager was this young lady working the register. The store was in a disarray, Stuff everywhere. I bought some dodge food and when I rang it up, it did not come up as the same price on the shelf. It's not the customers fault if your store is unorganized and trashy. You suppose to honor the price; but I understand, because she was a child, so how can you call yourself a MANAGER, IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN TRAINED IN OR ON CUSTOMER SERVICE? ITS IMPERATIVE THAT CORPORATE GETS BACK TO ME ASAP IN REGARDS TO THIS MATTER.Thank you,Sherri Washington

The store is very messy and unorganized. Shelves were bare. Self checkout does not work. Apparently it’s been down for a long time. The cashier was very nice. Unsure if I will visit again.

This location is hardy ever open anymore. There’s nothing listed online and no pre recorded messages letting patrons know if they’re open during normal business hours or not. I’ve driven to the store 3 times in the past week in the afternoon and they’ve been closed. Just in the few moments I was there, I’ve seen countless people pull into the parking lot in hopes of shopping, only to turn back around. I used to love this store. This is so sad, and they’re losing so much money as well as dedicated shoppers.

Best Dollar General I've ever been to. Lots of supplies for crafting & gardening. The store in Joppatowne Plaza is clean & well organized.

Store closes random days/random hours. No sign to let customers know either. There are employees inside so im not understanding why closed? Im not sure if they are short staffed or what is going on. The prices that are on shelves don't match what rings up either, its not once in awhile its all the time. Staff is nice, so not trying to say its their fault but perhaps the store needs a new manager.
