This gym is great and has everything I need. The staff is helpful and responsive. For example, there was one member that for whatever reason, had the audacity to tinker on the bike seats with his own tools as though they were his personal property. Instead of avoiding the difficult conversation, management let him know that he was not permitted to do this. What he failed to realize was that this is a 24/7 gym, and that regardless of his perception, there were many other people that used those bikes throughout the day (and night!), and expected them to be at a standard setting. Many businesses simply cave to entitled behavior, which deteriorates the experience of many to bolster the experience of a vocal one, but not ATF! Thanks! It is much easier to use the bikes now.

A clean, friendly, well-managed gym. More of a community atmosphere rather than a workout-bro vibe.

It's not often I write reviews, but this is one of my favorite gyms I've had a membership with. The staff are all really friendly and supportive, and it's just a generally positive place to workout. It's hardly ever too crowded. The parking area can be tight later in the day but I always found a spot. Definitely would return to this gym if I ever lived in the area again.

I've always worked out, but usually in a class situation, never having been a "gym guy." But Anytime Fitness Kensington is super chill. It's just the neighborhood people getting their workout in. I love it!

I was referred to the gym by a friend. I can not be happier with the facilities and especially the trainers. The gym is big compared to other anytime fitness. My membership allows me to go to any other anytime fitness which is a great commodity. The trainers are the nicest people and very knowledgable. They have experience and are helping me to achieve my fitness goals. The classes are great, there are numerous equipment and it is open 24 hours. A good deal for the money. Highly recommend this gym!

A few months after becoming a member, I tried spinning classes, which were fun. I quickly noticed the seats, set parallel to the floor, didn’t fit my anatomy. I was sliding forward uncomfortably.I brought a wrench, raised the front of one a notch, and didn’t feel as if I were fighting it anymore. I chose the narrowest, least padded style among the few types available. The owner later told me I was the only one who preferred that kind. The seat was leveled again by staff. But I wasn’t going to settle for exerting myself session after session while struggling to remain on the seat. There used to be a ‘needs fixing’ sheet for members to list equipment problems. Someone had written that the bike seats were ‘tipped.’I went to the manager and politely asked if I could have one seat --just one seat! – adjusted to my comfort. I was met with an expression of surprise mixed with mild annoyance. Denied. The classes were never full so nobody would’ve been forced to use a ‘tipped’ seat. Even if they were all taken, there were four bikes in other parts of the gym from which seat/post combos could be swapped. I never saw all four of those in use at the same time. So, on it went: I’d adjust a saddle, someone would complain, it’d be flattened, and the charade would begin anew.I finally made a request to the owner. She said she’d put a note on the saddle not to adjust it. A week later she said she was told --presumably by the manager – the answer was no. If one is changed then all could be changed, implying they were not willing to consider that. But they did take into consideration all the others who complained. That’s not fair. They could’ve easily worked with me, gotten to ‘yes.’ The seats are adjustable for a reason.Otherwise, the esprit-de-corps evident when I joined has faded. There are no noticeable efforts to engage members. The newer, younger trainers are somewhat aloof. And then there’s this:The two gym managers(and possibly one's spouse) wrote 5-star reviews on this page about 8 months ago. At that time, they were Anytime employees, not paying customers. These are conflict of interest violations per Google usage rules. The owner played along with this ruse, adding praise and thanks below these ‘reviews.’Hmm, using shills seems to me a sign there’s not a lot of confidence in the business’ future.

Was a nice place although there didn’t seem to be anyone helping the young lifters who were literally killings themselves, but they had really nice equipment.

Anytime Fitness is best gym in town! The staff are super friendly, the equipment is up to date, and they listen to suggestions,They offer showers and there's rarely a wait except for sometimes racks in pm after work. My son started going here too and feels very welcome/comfortable. They were super flexible with us when thinking about gym options for him which I truly appreciated.I love my gym!! I love my trainer Kevin too(he's like family.) You will love it too if you join!:)

This gym is hands down the best in the area. I'm really glad I tried free passes at multiple gyms before getting a membership here, so I can confidently say that. It's the largest Anytime Fitness I've ever been to, and never feels crowded. The staff are friendly and helpful, always saying hi, and the place is kept very clean. You can tell they really care about the gym. There are many new machines and lots of space to work out. The bathrooms are typical of an Anytime, pretty small, but I've come to the gym at all hours and there's never a wait for the bathroom or showers. It's on the pricier side for a monthly membership, but definitely worth it!

Great local gym! Just moved to Kensington and didn’t know where to join. I’m happy I looked at multiple gyms and found Anytime. The staff is incredibly friendly and there is ample equipment and weights for any type of fitness training.

The Anytime Fitness team is wonderful. They're friendly, attentive and always ready to help you out with spotting or to feed your ego (best). Its a small gym and they organize their machines to maximize space. I think that people don't always take advantage of their upstairs spin room or the other upstairs machines (an elliptical/row machine thing), so don't forget those are up there! If there are no classes at the time you can also use the downstairs room in the back by the bathrooms to workout as well. So there definitely is more space than people give it credit for.The people who go there are friendly and there is a very positive and friendly vibe. I think this gym is better not only b/c of the people but also b/c they understand that people want more than just machines to work out. I've never seen another gym with a sled or so much space for free weights or other bits and bobs like bands (including those longer loop bands), pylo boxes, bosu balls or dumbbells.(parking can be annoying but in the evenings you can park across the street in the parking lot)
