I can't speak for all locations but Kensington - Nicholson Ct has the best personnel - Manager Jesse and Khin are the most personable and easiest to interact with - excellent customer service. Thank you for appreciate the help always!

All I know is that Jesse is an honest broker who's been so patient with me and my family. There is another woman that I spoke to, she has an Asian American accent, who was equally gracious and kind. They've made life easier.

It's hard to give a singular star-rating to a complex and multi-factor experience. I also feel like the 3-star overall rating shines unfavorably on the staff because they're sharing that rating with the facility. We have had great interactions with the helpful staff and recently had a wonderful experience working with Jesse though the reason for it was a bummer. I cannot stress enough that the people working here have been great!
The problem is with the facility. We are in a climate controlled unit, but recently found mold all over everything in our unit. The hallway leading up to the unit is uncomfortably humid (as is the unit itself). When we moved stuff around in the unit to get pictures and open an incident report we found a still-wet water line against the cement wall and floor. One of our plastic bins even had water pooling on top of the lid.
We wore masks to start moving out what was salvageable and found another group of people on the same floor doing the same thing, masks and all. The whole wing of that floor smells of mold and mildew.
During this process the staff has been as helpful as they can be and they're doing the best with the facility they were given.

My visit at Extra Space Storage has been good until a recent discovery of mold in my storage unit.. I was denied my insurance claim as a result and had to quickly change storage units at my cost. I should have been compensated for something! Otherwise, the representatives have been kind and professional.

Mrs. Khin at the desk this afternoon when I came to the office. She was so professional and helpful. Very cheerful in assisting me. She had solutions I did not even think of. Thank you, Mrs. Khin. You are a life saver!

This place is swarming with rats going in and out of units - truly disgusting. You can hear them moving around everywhere when you go early in the morning - its terrifying. Jesse's a nice guy but has known about this for years and done nothing about it while they destroy peoples cherished possessions. You reach out and they won't even return your emails - completely unaccaptable. Avoid at all costs!!!

As of others have pointed out, this place has a MASSIVE rodent problem and isn’t doing anything about it. Won’t answer our emails or do anything for us. Stay away from this place!

MASSIVE RODENT INFESTATION. Do not use this place, our stuff was destroyed by rodents living inside. They also jack up the price 60% on month 3. Stay away from this place and just use the new place across the street, it’s much cheaper in the long run.
