Good morning, on August 8, 2025 at approximately 11:20 I went to the store #5006. And experience the worst possible customer service I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. The customer service experience came from a gentleman. The gentleman is an African-American male with a long earring and dreads. I asked him for his name he refused. The customer service experience that came from the gentleman is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. The gentleman is an African-American male with a long earring and dreads. I asked him for his name he refused. I asked for a manager’s name or contact he refused. I asked him for the Owner’s contact information he refused. I then asked the white male next to him with a long ponytail for the gentleman who is being rude name and information. He refused and told me I had to ask the rude gentleman, his name again. At no point should customer service be this bad. Nobody should experience this when simply trying to ship off items.
I also find it unsatisfactory as I read reviews, knowing that he is constantly an issue at the store people have went on Google and left reviews for him before. This isn’t my first bad experience with him, but I want this to be my last bad experience with him.

REF: 34 Shining Willow Way store in LaPlata Md.. A renovation was done to the store. But a down grade was done to the customer service experience. When I entered the store I waited patiently for someone to call me. The black man with earrings hanging down was horrible and do not need to work with people at all. He never said a word and acted like he dont want to be there!!! I asked him was I next and he said or I could wait for the other guy Mike [I waited]. While in Mikes line I asked what was the corporate number, Mike replied it was on the website. I also asked Mike what was the man's name and he said, ask him!! On my way out the door I asked the other ruin man his name and he thought about it and stated he didnt have to answer that question. I thought he must be the owner. Oh my, I've never been treated so poorly in my entire life. Clearly these two guys have not reviewed the UPS Store's core values. I did and it states that UPS is committed to providing world class customer service to the customer. The statement went on about personalized and professional solutions while support its core values. This store need an ovethall. What happened to the other people that worked there, they were at least kind. I pray my returns end up getting back to the recipient.

They should have closed and notified everyone online that they were going to be limited in the services they offer due to being under renovations. Even before the renovations, there’s always SOMETHING wrong with this location. Terrible customer service.

I visited the UPS Store on Saturday, 6/28, and was truly impressed by the associate working alone that day, Antoinette. It was a busy afternoon with a steady stream of customers, but she handled everything with grace. Despite the rush, she remained calm, polite, and incredibly efficient. She greeted everyone with a warm smile, and her professionalism stood out. I later found her name through a quick Google search—she absolutely deserves recognition. Running the store solo on a hectic weekend is no small feat, and Antoinette did an outstanding job. Thank you!

2 stars because the customer service is hit or miss. There’s a lady in there with piercings in her face that is so hot and cold, one day she’s OVERLY helpful and talkative and the next she comes off a little rude. The rest of the staff there is not very friendly either.

I usually get good customer service at this location. The last time I went in there was zero customer service. No getting just task directing by the lady with facial piercing. Felt like she had something against me coming in and bothering her.

This is the best UPS store in the DMV. Every time I go into the store I am greeted and helped immediately. Antoinette and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
