Always take great care of my fur babies all 8. Very reasonable on prices.

Good vet, reasonable prices, but watch out because they consistently have no sense of efficient scheduling of services, example- they will skip a heartworm test at the annual visit if it's not "due" for another few months, then force you to come all the way back for a tech appointment to do the test, else they won't update your prescription. They also don't put in any effort to sync annual vaccines so that you're not making extra trips and paying for extra appointments. You'll have to go out of your way to catch their lack of efficiency/math skills.

Dr. Boyce and her team are excellent. Always professional and caring towards myself and my fur baby.

This place is by far the most money hungry vet I’ve ever experienced in my life. You call to ask for an estimate for blood work for your pet, they want a surgeon to review your pet before you give blood work/X-ray completed (more money) I’ve tried to give these people a chance for years, but they always try to take all of your money. They know people will pay money for their pets. I would only bring my pet here for an annual check up… that’s it. This place isn’t worth it to me. Others in the area are better and treat my pet better too. I wouldn’t recommend this place… I’m sorry

My fur baby always receives excellent care here. She even gets excited when we drive onto the parking lot. Her recent boarding there had to be extended beyond my original plans, but she was in good hands, and it was obvious that she had received good treatment when I picked her up. The staff there is very pleasant as well.

0 stars! BEWARE! Veterinary Malpractice!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! I took my dog here in September 2022 for an emergency visit for stomach issues and blood in the urine. His issue was not resolved and he came back with a broken back. I was told that they were going to take great care of my fur baby. THAT WAS LIE! I took him for an emergency visit because he was straining to pee, had blood in his urine, and not eating. THEY DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO BE WITH YOUR PET DURING THE VISIT. YOUR PET IS TAKEN IN THE BACK WHERE YOU CANT SEE WHATS GOING ON. They admitted my dog for treatment and when I picked him up he was sedated on pain medication (something that wasn’t discussed prior to giving him the medication). When he woke up from the medication at home, he screamed in pain, I took him outside to use the bathroom that night, he immediately fell over, and could no longer walk! I called the vet the next morning and they told me that he was fine at the appointment. I knew something was wrong. I repeated asked did anything happen during his appointment and I was assured everything was alright. My baby was in extreme pain, his neck was stiff as if he has had a stroke. I called multiple time and finally spoke with Dr. Boyce, she told me to bring my dog in for more testing because he may have a tick-borne disease. I knew that wasn’t right, he is on monthly preventative medication. They just wanted my money for useless testing. I called again and the vet finally told me that they had ran blood work on him and put him in the cage and when they removed him from the cage he was screaming anytime someone would touch him so they gave him pain medication. I want to know how much force they used when trying to restrict him for blood work, I want to know why this wasn’t originally told to me when I ask what happened at his appointment instead of being pushed to pay for useless testing, I want to know why they didn’t send him home with pain medication knowing that he was in extreme pain. On top of that, the reason for his visit wasn’t resolved. I WILL NEVER RETURN HERE. They injured my dogs back during his visit and failed to tell me what happened, I had to pry the information out of them. The recovery from this visit has cost me SO MUCH MONEY! I had to put my dog in a wheelchair and re-teach him how to walk. I have been spending $100 a week in acupuncture visits to fix his injured back for a year and we are still going through treatments! I now take my pet to Animal Center Watkins Park. At Watkins park, they found out that my dog had bladder stones (reason for blood in urine) and they recommended a new diet for his gastrointestinal issues. They also allow you to be in the same room during the visit and they recommended him to the neurologist that is fixing his back. APAW does not care about your pet and will injure your pet just to make a buck, BEWARE!

I used to take my lab mix here several years ago before she passed and I knew I had to come back with my current puppy. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Never had a problem.

Twice I called to report my dog had a seizure and asked should we bring him in. No response. I'm now happy with the treatment he's getting from another vet. The difference is night and day.

Horrible service and complete lack of understanding of best practices. STAY AWAY from this place if you care at all about your pet.

I switched from Banfield to APaw .. and I love them .The staff is friendly and very gentle with the animals. They do tell you what they recommend as far as treatment and see if it's affordable at that time before they do anything from my experience. They were so friendly on my first visit my fur son made an absolute mess and they were like relax we got this!! Everytime we come in they be like Hey Jasper!!! He left a messy impression on them..

I made the switch from Banfield to APAW and I'm so happy i did. It's close, the staff are friendly and very welcoming and the vet took her time to listen to my concerns, provide me with details regarding my pups care and even provided me with recommendations on what to be aware of and how to care for my need pup.

We have been taking our cats there for years and have received very good service. We mainly see Dr. Boyce for our care and she is always patient, kind and takes time to really listen regarding our concerns with our animals. The staff is good and provides very good customer service.

I was referred to APAW by a friend a few years back when my seniors fur baby was terminally I’ll. The care and compassion given to me and my son was so caring. Happy went to doggy Heaven that year and APAW sent us a very sweet card. Fast forward we have a new baby and she has been going here since she was 8 weeks. I agree sometimes vet care is expensive however that is the norm. Overall the staff and Doctors are the best and I wouldn’t change .

APAW truly disappointed me today. Normally I would speak highly of them but after today they will no longer see me and my baby anymore. If you truly love your baby you will not make this establishment your primary care of veterinary needs. There is no such thing as emergency appointments here and they will not try to accommodate your urgent needs when it comes to your fur baby. In the heat of an emergency, I was placed on hold three times just for the phone to disconnect the call each time. After taking my baby to them on 11/07 I was told if any changes occur to give them a ring. Dr. Boyce assured me that her and her team will do everything that they can do to make sure my baby gets better. But to my surprise that was all a lie. There was no urgent need from Liz (front desk) and Dr. Boyce once I told them what was going on with my baby. Luckily there was another Veterinary hospital near me that I took my baby to but it still doesn’t negate the fact THIS hospital lacked interest into my baby’s needs. Again, do not make this your fur baby primary vet because they will have no problem taking your money and pushing you to the side.
