I have been going to DARCARS Lanham Kia since I purchased my vehicle in 2016. I'm sad that this is my first review. Every time I come here, they are friendly, efficient, and they resolve my issue quickly. I've had recalls performed (for free of course) that I didn't know were due. My kids broke two of my seatbelts and I was getting the one in the back replaced (for free under warranty). The front one was not replaceable for free because I had to cut it when my daughter wrapped her leg up in it and I couldn't get her out any other way. They replaced the broken one in the front by mistake and did not charge me and they still replaced the one in the back for free. All of my rentals have been free because I purchased the extended warranty. They always give me a ride to Enterprise to get my rental and get me out in time to pick up my kids from school. They have not failed me yet. I will continue to come here for purchases, maintenance and repairs. Also, look out for specials. They can save you money as well!

Had the privilege of working with Marcus. This was my first car purchase and Marcus went above and beyond! He did a great job making me feel at home and comfortable doing the transaction with him and his expertise. He even educated me on everything I didn’t know and maybe weren’t sure on during the process. I see why he has been with the company for as long as he has!I also want to extend a thank you to Managers Andrew & Marcel! The whole team was so patient with me and helped me tackle this huge moment in my life!I encourage anyone looking to purchase a car to go see Marcus and his team! Marcus Rountree was the best sales rep i have ever had! The company should be thankful to have such a knowledgeable, caring person that is truly good at what he does. Thank you for having marcus at your store. I just bought the KIA Carnival and I dont know who is more impressive between Marcus or the vehicle, thank you Marcus!

Before today this was favorite Kia dealership. On May 2,2022, I had an appointment to have my front brakes checked and was told they needed to be replaced as well as the rotors the cost was $876.51. Well about three weeks ago while driving my brakes started to shakes when I applied them. I called and set up an appointment for today. I was told both front and back brakes as well as the rotors needed to be replaced. Break fluid was needed and a host of other issues with my brakes. I asked why do my front brakes need to be replaced when I just had them replaced last year. I was told he didn't know and that alot of staff has been replaced so he's not sure. I was given a total of $2350.16 to repair my 2015 truck. I never trust Kia again and will not refer anyone to purchase any thing from Kia. They are ripping good people off with the HIGH cost of parts and LABOR. Kia was the only company, I trusted topurchase my vehicles from and many family members purchased a Kia because of my referral. I'm so hurt and disgusted!

Been trying to get in contact with service manager for a week ! I was charged a diagnostic fee and and tried to charge me for a flush after my mechanic sent me because of a leaking water pump which is covered by my warranty. The worst part is they said I put the wrong coolant in the car and that is causing it to over heat smh the car doesn't hold coolant in the system. And it is now emptying within 7days and the service manage is ducking me and playing phone tag smdh. Jasmine has been alot of help but the technicians are either not doing they job cause a dye test would have led them right to the pump and gasket. If my personal mechanic ends up putting this in his self I will have to put in a claim about the service here

This was the fourth Kia dealership that I have visited. From the start, Steven was a consummate professional. He knew the products very well and offered a knowledgeable, yet no-pressure sales approach. He was extemely helpful and offered me many options. I will be referring anyone I know in the market for a car to him. Amazing service from him and he has integrity!

Customer Service is TERRIBLE !. They make promises they dont keep. the higher up staff is rude and disrespectful, they dont return phone calls and also screen your call when you call too much . Ive paid nearly $4,000 for my car to get fixed after they had my car for longer than expected, Picked my car up and it was worse than what it’s was when i picked it up .. i returned the car for them to look at , I had to call multiple times to get a answer for my car they told me that the problem was nothing they had fixed so I have to pay more money to fix the problem on top of the fact that their not going to reemburse me for my rental fees ive occured be and after fixing my car .. I DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING TO THIS DEALERSHIP !!!. they don’t help the customers no matter how much money you spend

I took my 2015 Kia Sportage EX in for a recall on june 7th 2023initaily it was for recall to replace a fuse that might cause a engine fire.When i got there they said there were additional computer recall updates that needed to be done. I said go ahead and do all the recall computer updates . They said it will take a couple of hours. I returned at 5 that day and they said the BCM update was not successful and they needed to order a new BCM or Body Control Module le. It is now june 28th and the part is still on order and I can not drive my car. I had to rent a car for work .They said they do not give loaner cars and it would take 40 to 60 days after the car was finally repaired before I could get reimbursment for the car rental. They should provide a loaner car if it takes more than 4 weeks to repair the car.I will never go back to that Kia dealer for any kind of service. I feel they should have warned me that if the BCM update failed they would have to back order the part before I let do anything. I would have said NO do not do the update!!!!!!!!!!!!

I scheduled an appointment online to have my car serviced. I show up for my appointment and I am asked, what service does my car need? I am confused because I indicated all of this when I booked the online appointment. I was then told that because it's an engine issue, I have to pay a $299 diagnostic fee and I have to leave the car there for 1-3 (or 2-3) business days.I was upset because no one ever explained this to me. This should have been told to me.Waste of time and disorganized.Update:Let me provide additional context since the dealership wishes to engage in passive aggressive emails.1) I booked the appointment online. There was nothing ever sent to me or communicated with me about the dealerships "protocols". When I arrived, one week after I booked the appointment, that's when the "protocols" were explained to me. I believe a well-organized service department, would have either emailed or called me ahead of time to inform that I would have to leave my car at the dealership for so many days and pay a $299 diagnostic fee.Advice: Instead of passive aggressive and dismissive responses, the dealership should actually take the feedback received from customers and use it as an opportunity to improve their "protocols". When a customer makes an online appointment, someone from the service department should actually call or email the customer and inform them of the "protocols" ahead of time so that they are well informed. Waiting until the customer arrives to explain that they have to leave the car at the dealership (potentially up to 4 days) is unacceptable and unnecessary. People need to know if they might be without a car for that many days so that they can make other arrangements. Maybe your protocols need to consider the customer a bit more.Also, why wasn't the diagnostic fee listed on the appointment sign up screen?

Stephen was of great help at the dealership and was able to present a deal I was most happy with. My wife has dealt with him in the past and finds him to be a great saleman, with vehicle information and customer care. I felt the same.
