I’ve been coming with my rescue dog for two years now. She is larger and aggressive with strangers, every time I’ve come in we have been treated with an abundance of patience and kindness. We’ve had two physical exams to include shots, the first time she was able to get shots but not complete the full physical exam due to her behavior. They suggested some sedatives before this last appointment and those did the trick! They weren’t expensive either (~$30 total insurance). I get a lot of anxiety hoping my dog will behave and won’t be received poorly for her behavior/demeanor but every time I come in it lessens more and more. I really appreciate all the staff and will continue to come to this location.

I had drop off service for dog at 10:30 am. I was called at 3:00pm for pickup. I arrived at 3:10pm. I didn’t receive my dog until 4:26pm. SMH!! Also, I was told 1 price at drop off. But, at pick up that went up $40.00?

Terrible service, the front check in staff is super slow and inconsiderate. They don’t answer the phones and it’s not cleanly. I had a 1030 appointment and waited in line for 30 mins to be asked at 11 if I can come back at 345. Mind you there was almost no one in there. Absolutely ridiculous.. the wellness plan is also a huge scam I’ll be cancelling and good riddance.

The staff at Banfield Largo were absolutely wonderful - from the intake staff to the vet techs, Benjamin and Christyne to the provider, Dr. Jannifer.They treated my cat with tenderness and compassion even as she growled. They were thorough and explained each test and the costs before moving forward with each step of the exam. So, there were no surprises.I thank you so very much!

My dog Bigby has been with Banfield (various locations throughout the years) for about 9 years now. Banfield has been an affordable, convenient option to make sure that my dog is seen twice per year, is up to date on his vaccines and exams, and to make sure his teeth are cleaned annually. However, I am discontinuing my dog's Banfield membership. Bottom line, Banfield is not a good option if you need a vet to provide the appropriate amount of time and energy and compassion to care for your aging animals.My dog was diagnosed with the beginnings of tracheal collapse last year, a long-term degenerative disease. I have been struggling for the past year to consistently obtain medication from Banfield to keep his coughing under control. I went to this particular Banfield at Largo on 8/1/2023 and was prescribed Temaril-P by Dr. Alganesh Gessesse. The medication was for 14 pills with no refills. I have been to the Banfield location in person four times and I've only been able to secure a refill one time; since the medication was not refillable, the doctor has to be present to approve the refill and this doctor does not work full time at this particular location. Additionally, no one at this location picks up the phone. I have called multiple times in the past month and the phone rings and rings without an answering machine. Also, every time I've gone to this Banfield in person, the front desk is unmanned so I'm concluding based on my experience that calling is an unreliable communcation method.Today was the last straw when I was told yesterday, 9/18/23, that the vet would be here today, 9/19/23, and the vet was not there when I arrived at 5pm. Yes, that is late but I'm a working person too and why does the system have to be so difficult? Why couldn't the techs leave a note for the doctor that I'm seeking a refill? My best guess is that this location is overwhelmed with clients (Banfield IS a business after all) and cannot provide care to pets that need more time and effort. Basically, this location is a revolving door that provides subpar service, which is fine if your dog or cat is healthy, but isn't what my dog needs now.

Terrible customer service, and they do not have any patience. Never bringing my pet here & if you don't want accidents to happen don't bring your pet here!

Have been calling for weeks to have my pet seen due to a rash. Unable to get through and only receive a voicemail. Also don’t receive a callback. Also have the Optimum Wellness Plan. 100% do NOT recommend this location nor the Banfield Wellness Plan.

I made an appointment for each of my 3 dogs from 2pm to 3pm. Each appointment was scheduled for 30 minutes. I received a phone call early in the morning the date of the appointments. I was asleep so I didn’t answer the phone but the voicemail stated that I needed to call Banfield and confirm my appointments for today. Each and every time I call I reached their voicemail that said the hospital is close and even when I tried to call Petsmart and speak to other employees in or around the hospital I was unable to reach anyone. They ended up canceling my appointments and once their phones were working, I was able to get in touch with them and they wanted to reschedule me for a 330 appointment because they gave my appointment away already. This place has horrible communications.

Getting them to answer the phone is extremely difficult. You might have better chances winning the lottery. The doctors are equally difficult to reach. It took nearly a week to get info about my dogs x ray results because I could not get the doctor to call me back. In addition they never responded to the orthopedic specialist who requested the actual images multiple times. Finally, once I got the report, it said my dog had a heart murmur which the doctor never mentioned to me. Everyone is friendly when you are there but I don’t know if they just don’t have enough staff because their response times are awful and I’m not confident they review and share the data from exams properly. I will be taking my dog elsewhere.

They never answer the phone & unfortunately have dropped the ball 2/3 times on my dogs follow up appointments. Usually I get a reminder yet that hasn’t been happening.

The shining stars of this establishment are Shanna and Toya! Thank you so much for all you do. Shanna you have a GIFT!The Dr’s here seem limited and minimally helpful. Senior dogs are treated with relative indifference. More comprehensive compassionate advice from doctors is needed!

The attendants and Doctor are very kind if you can get an appointment.The front desk sucks. For starters I can't get anyone on the phone anymore. I tried the Website only to read that the dog ate the page. Not funny at all when trying to make an appointment. They are not helpful when I order my pet's medicine online, they always want me to purchase their overpriced meds from their pharmacy.The one good thing that his attendant did on his last visit was to notice that his nails were overgrown and offered to cut them. I was very happy about that since I have to take him over 25 miles one way for grooming. The Petsmart will not groom him because of his age.Please fix your problems, this store is very convenient for us.

The people that check you in are very helpful and professional. My puppies first visit, I didn’t receive his weight although the doctor recommended changing his food. I called, left several messages to no avail. If you need to ask a question or contact them you will be out of luck. This morning called another location and they promptly answered the phone. Now I know it’s just this location. Will not be going back here.
