If leaving negative stars were an option, I would. I am extremely disappointment with the grooming services provided by PetSmart, in Upper Marlboro, MD; store #1182. Two days after my dog's first grooming appointment with PetSmart, with no changes in diet or environment, she developed a painful rash diagnosed as bacterial skin infection by her veterinarian. The only new factor was her grooming session at PetSmart. Her veterinarian suggested the source of the infection includes the possibility of bacteria lurking in the collars used on the grooming tables, the shampoo utilized during the grooming session, and/or the grooming utensils themselves. I am beyond displeased with the lack of cleanliness and sanitation standards observed at PetSmart. Not only did this experience result in unnecessary pain and discomfort for my beloved pet, but it also incurred significant veterinary expenses that could have been entirely avoided with proper hygiene practices. Needless to say, I will NEVER utilize PetSmart's grooming services. From this horrific experience to subpar grooming, I implore the Largo PetSmart to take responsibility for the consequences of their negligence by covering the veterinary bills incurred due to this incident. Furthermore, I implore the entire PetSmart franchise to conduct a thorough investigation of all PetSmart locations to assess the hygiene and cleanliness of grooming areas.

Grooming was good, but I realized my dog had to knots on her head after picking her up. I only booked for a bath, brush, teeth brushing and trim around her face. So, I’m concerned about where the two bruises on her head came from. I don’t trust this location.

Too expensive honestly. Better off going to Target for dog food where the prices are more in line with typical MSRP. Prices seem marked up at PetSmart because they know people will come anyway.

Always come Here and find what I need. Only proble I can report is that was have a line with one cashier and with cashier notice a long long line they call for help a d still it take over 5 plus minutes for someone to come and help and sometime longer for the second lane to open up.

This is a great place to go for pretty much all of someone's pet needs. Things can get a little pricey, but not excessively so; fairly comparable with Chewy. Most of the Employees are very friendly & have personal experience with pets, bc they are pet owners themselves. Having said that, you aren't dealing with experts, merely people who love their pets as much as you do, and can offer advice insofar as what has worked for them; they aren't experts, so do your own research for your pet & their needs. My only real complaint is finding parking during the day--they are located in a kind of cut-out section of the shopping center, and EVERYONE ELSE parks there, regardless that it's supposed to just be PetSmart's parking only; however, in the evening near closing, it's usually empty. If you can hold off until then, that's the best time to go.

This is my closest Petsmart location so I find myself going on Saturday morning/afternoons to pick up fish or fish supplies. The parking lot is always packed, I usually have to park across the street and walking over to the building. (The Petsmart itself isn't that crowded though, so I think most of their spots are being used by visitors of other stores) The aquatics section is very minimally stocked - both in terms of products and fish. Many of their tanks are empty or have very few of the fish that are listed on the tags. Would love to see them have a much more consistent stocking and greater variety. I would assume Saturday is one of their busiest days of the week yet there are very few staff working. On my last two visits I've waited about 5-10 minutes in the aquatics section without seeing a staff member anywhere nearby. I was only helped after asking a cashier to page across the intercom for some service in aquatics. To their credit, I will say that the staff are friendly when you finally do get the help you need. Maybe they're just understaffed?

I went to go to the vet located inside the back of the store. Banfield has a technician named Christyne that is the best thing that ever happened to that place! THE most professional, and knowledgeable person I have ever seen. I don't and would never bring my fur baby anywhere else. If she ever leaves, we will definitely follow! She's the best!

They’ve been unprofessional for years. Yesterday i got to my dogs 12pm Banfield appointment at 12:05. I was in line as another customer was being taken care of. By the time i got to check in, it was 12:16 and they proceeded to tell me that they have to cancel my appointment because i was over the 10 minute grace period. I explained to them that i was here on time but they were servicing another customer. They kept saying well we’re booked and the doctor said to cancel your appointment. I kept telling him I was here at 12:05 and all they kept saying is your appointment needs to be rescheduled or i can come back at 3pm (like i have nothing else to do w/ my life but wait around for 3 hours to drop my dog off). Final straw for me. They do things like this all the time. Will have you waiting 30-45 minutes even if you’re on time to your appointment.

I have taken my ? to get groomed about four times here. Only today have I received the quality service that should have been given from the start. TYLAR C. Is the epitome of costumer and furry friend service. TYLAR I applaud ur patience, communication and service. YOU ROCK GIRL!
