What a phenomenal experience at Academy Ford! This was my 17th vehicle purchase. Colin Campbell, my sales consultant, was honest, empathetic, knowledgeable, and a great person. I was trading in a vehicle in order to purchase a beautiful Ford Maverick. The negotiation was not one- it was a simple, easy, quick, "win-win" outcome (no going back and forth several times- one conversation!). I could not recommend Academy Ford- and especially Colin- any more highly. This was the quickest, easiest, and most pleasant car buying experience of my 17.

Interested in buying a Ford Lightning EV. Dealership refused to register with the IRS in order to receive point of sale $7500 tax credit to potential buyers in accordance with the 2024 rules. Management completely clueless on the IRS guidelines for 2024. No wonder they have so many EV Lightnings sitting on the lot. Made a deal in Pa for the same truck with the proper point of sale tax credit applied.

I had a number of car issues, including a need for new breaks and tires. I normally work with Al. He set up an opportunity for me to have transportation while my car was being serviced. However, he was not able to be in the shop the day I dropped my car off. Fortunately, the manager honored the transportation Al reserved for me. And, Andy was able to step in an assist with my other car concerns. The manager also honored a coupon from Academy Ford that expired 3 days earlier. I was able to get my car fixed, transportation while my car was in the shop, and get a discount. I am a happy customer.

Service advisors are very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I got a phone call on 10/26 saying all the parts have finally arrived(been waiting for parts since may)to have the cam phasers fixed on my f150 Was told to drop the truck off November 2nd and should be able to get my truck back today the 7th and all will be covered under warranty . I get a call this morning saying that FORD just approved for the job to get done but the technician has 2 engines to replace and a transmission so they won’t be able able to work on my truck until the 20th. So I missed 4 work days to be told I have to miss another week and 2 days because they need my truck from the 20th - 28th to get the repair done . Sound like they keep trying to push me off till my warranty expires this is very inconvenient.

Note that it’s $20 more than going in store (part of the misunderstanding), but if you have the extra cash and want them to come to your home or office it’s really convenient. Have gone here twice for headlight replacements. Most recent time was excellent, replaced for about half of what other dealerships were telling me and in less than an hour. Kind workers, very attentive. I was able to call beforehand and check if they had the bulb for my car and they were able to order for the next day. Super easy and very convenient.

The best car buying experience I've ever had. My prior experiences involved being forced to wait for hours and hours while endless add-ons were rammed down my throat. My experience at Academy Ford was the exact opposite. I would definitely recommend them. A special shout out to Jackie and Colin for working with me at various stages of the process and to Irv for getting me a good deal on my trade-in.My new Ford is awesome!

NEGATIVE STARS!! Never take you car here for service. I took my car near the end of the warranty and they claimed to have submitted the report to Ford but Ford denied it. This after MONTHS of back and forth. Went to another dealership and they checked the data base and Academy Ford never submitted anything and LIED TO MY FACE about it repeatedly. Now the car is out of warranty and I'm out of luck. What is wrong with you people??!!? It's gonna catch up with your trifling lying sorry asses sooner than later. Too many dealerships to deal with liars and cheats!!!!!

Do you know how hard it is to find a reputable dealership that knows a thing or two about trucks and their tow capacity? If this sounds like you.......look no further than Academy Ford. We were in the market for a pre-owned truck capable of towing minimum 8k pounds. Some dealerships tried to steer us to trucks that towed 6k if we were lucky. We just knew they didn't know trucks or what they were talking about.We had the absolute pleasure of working with Ainoa in sales. She's an incredible young lady who knows her stuff and gets to know her clients, what their needs are, and is a joy to be around. Sale manager Irv gave us a great deal and Jeff, their finance manager, secured financing at a decent rate given the current market on car loans. We could not be happier and wouldn't hesitate to buy another car or truck there again.

Purchased a 2023 Outer Banks Bronco from this dealership yesterday. This was the best car buying experience that I've ever had in the 25 years that I've been shopping for and buying cars. I love the fact that this is a family owned and operated dealership -- the Lynch's are good people and their leadership and family oriented environment at the dealership is quite clear through every interaction I had during the car buying process. Everyone was pleasant whether or not I was working directly with them. I also met the General Manager, Tom Woods, who was visible throughout the process and checked in regularly to make sure things were moving along.Kudos to 3 additional people who I worked with more directly during car buying process:1. Colin Campbell (sales) -- great communicator and very knowledgeable about Ford vehicles. He explained the ins and outs of the car, got things set up as far as Ford Pass, etc. He was prepared when I arrived at the dealership and again was respectful of my time by making sure to keep the process moving along. There was very little sitting and waiting. Offered a means to contact him if I have questions in the future.2. Russ Hawthorne (used car sales) -- easy appraisal process and a very fair offer for my trade in vehicle. By far the best trade in price compared to competitors. There was no haggling here -- just a fair appraisal the first time.3. Jeff Scott (Finance Manager) -- quick process as far as getting all the paperwork together. Explained things as we went along. Presented options as far as maintenance packages, extended warranties, and other "add on" items but there was no pressure or sales pitches here.Academy Ford has a different "feel" from the big dealerships. It does have a family feel and the people who work here seem to do so because they are treated as such.I would highly recommend giving them an opportunity to earn your business.

Brought my Ford F150 in for service with a transmission issue a tailgate that wouldn’t open and a check engine light. I notified the dealership of all these issues prior to them starting service and thought the tailgate was going to be a recall turned out it wasn’t. but was told they don’t have a transmission technician at that location. They didn’t tell me that until four days after they’ve had the vehicle and they never checked the check engine light but was told the only codes were related to my tailgate latch not opening and pick the vehicle up with the check engine light on they like never tried to even diagnose it from what I can tell. I will not have service done at this dealership ever again I don’t know why, a lot of public safety agencies use them, but I don’t feel the reputation is earned

3rd purchase at Academy. Love that its a locally owned, family run business. From purchase to service- we never have had a negative experience. Just purchased a '21 Expedition and it was super easy. Kudos to Colin who took a ton of time to show us all of the controls. He was incredibly knowledgeable and walked us through everything seemlessly. He even gave us his cell # which was unnecesary but it just goes to show that his service doesn't end when you leave the lot. Kudos to Russ who took the time to assess our trade-in and gave us a very fair price- better than Carmax! Can't say enough about the staff at Academy. We are customers for life!
