Great shop, diagnosed my problem before Luis even saw the car. 2 other shops missed the problem and wasted my money with not resolution to my problem. Luis is the correct person to visit for a job well done.

My wife and I previously gave this shop a glowing review when my wife’s Acura MDX received a catalytic converter in what seemed to be a smooth transaction just a few weeks ago. 2 days later, her car stopped being able to drive and wouldn’t shift in any direction. We had the vehicle towed back to Autobahn to have it looked at again as we had not had this problem prior to sending it there. Our vehicle remained there for over a week as Luis (Autobahn owner?) continually claimed that they were working to find the problem. Deadlines for contacting me back were continually missed and things eventually went from Luis supposedly awaiting a call from Acura to help him figure things out to him having to send my vehicle to Acura for them to run a diagnostic.
To their credit, Autobahn agreed to have the car towed to the Acura dealership nearby. Luis explicitly told the Acura service rep that Autobahn would pay for the diagnostic. I know this because I spoke to the service rep before and after he spoke to Luis as the dealership’s protocol was that they would not begin work on the vehicle until there was an understanding of who would pay. After one day, Acura determined that the problem was clearly the transmission as evidence by clear trouble codes based on their diagnostic equipment. Apparently, it needed to be replaced. How this problem arose right after sending it to Autobahn and how Autobahn had it for a total of 9-10 days from our first visit without being able to determine this straightforward issue is a mystery. And yet, it gets worse.
After the problem was determined, my Acura service rep called Luis back to receive the $220 payment for the diagnostic as he had agreed. Luis claimed that he had not made such a promise of payment and that I had to instead pay for it. The service rep confirmed to me yet again that Luis had indeed agreed to pay for the service prior to the work beginning and that he (the service rep) was astounded that he was now claiming that he never said as much. I called Luis to discuss it and he refused to acknowledge the truth, claiming that he had said to the service rep that “WE” would take care of the bill. “WE” he claims meant that he (Luis) and I would pay for it. That, Luis claimed, meant that I—not Autobahn—would pay for the diagnostic. In other words, he weaseled out of his word. He then had the audacity to tell me that he knew some good guys who would do the transmission for me because Autobahn doesn’t replace transmissions. Why was this never brought up when the issue of gear shifting was raised from early on?
Needless to say, after this ordeal, while I had hoped to have Autobahn do the work of fixing the diagnosed issue, I will not be going back to Autobahn. Neither would I like to work with anyone associated with them. I love supporting local businesses and I am not out to destroy reputations. However, this type of shadiness must be addressed. Perhaps Autobahn has done solid work for others in the past. But this was a horrible look for the business. My disappointment is not about the money so much as the broken commitment and severe inconveniences of the process. Honesty matters.

I was a first time customer here, new in town. I was warmly received and the intake was very professional. The communication was also excellent with an initial call back after my first inquiry on their web site and follow up calls with estimates and time of completion. I think the pricing was also excellent. I would highly recommend this shop for servicing your car. I will be a return customer for sure

I was have what appeared to be battery issues changed battery and still had problem the German mechanic that swear he knows German cars swore the problem was alternator so I pay him 600 for new alternator a year later come to find out it’s actually just my serpentine belt which doesn’t cost much to fix. Would never again go to him he never told me about my belt cause we wanted big money and he damaged my tensioner
