HELLO we purchased items from Giant 1009 Fairlawn Ave, Laurel, MD 20707 through Instachart (IT WAS NOT THE DRIVER FAULT)... we had a bug not sure how many but 1 is to many and the spring mix was OLD SMELT OLD AND NASTY.. I don't have a vehicle to take it back so how do we take action because now I'm going to write a review everyday until that giant has fresh products to sell to customers... NOW I can not have the meal I planned to make for my family.. it's not the first time I've had old rotten food this time I had enough either close it down or get NEW WORKERS AND OR EQUIPMENT. I will be reporting this Giant to the FDA AND WHO EVER ELSE.

Prices have elevated everywhere but Giant does seem to still have quite a few sales but be careful. Some sales make kore sense than others. Like some sales make you purchase more than you need, just to get the deal. If you don't purchase the quadruple sale, then you must pay not the fraction but full price. This seems to happen at this location a lot. Be careful in the parking lot bcuz it's like the Indy 5000! Ppl speed thru and some parking spots are very tight. Park further away from the entrance and they are larger. Be smart and make a list that you can stick to.

Definitely not my regular location but happened to be nearby and just needed like two things. Ran in, got them, did the self-checkout and rolled out! The parking lot here is very congested as there are so many businesses over here and some people are driving fast! The store seems very dark and could use an update. The produce section was lacking. Again, not my go to store so won't come here again.

I didn't use my giant card but went to the customer service line and the male employee there was able to check my receipt and give me the almost two dollars in savings. Exceptional service

Good luck with gaining employment at this Giant Food location. The HR representative Chandra is VERY unprofessional. I was asked to come in and bring your ID's for an in-person interview at 1:00 pm. I arrived at 12:45 PM and was told Chandra is at lunch. Take a seat and I will let her know you arrived 15 minutes early. At 1:10 pm a very helpful team member approached me and said, "Chandra is back from lunch but is on a 1 PM conference call. She NEVER left her office to come and greet me and I NEVER heard from her again. One week later I received a voicemail message from the Store Manager (Donna Maloney) asking if I was still interested in employment. Customer service/Chandra would not let me speak directly to the store manager. Needless-to-say, I was not able to speak with Donna and would never consider working at this location. It's obvious the work environment is TOXIC with a revoloving employment door. My experience was very unacceptable and Chandra should be fired as Gaint's HR representative. She's rude, unprofessional, disrespectful, and displays a poor character for a HR representative assisting people with employment. GET rid of her!!!! Why? Because she's has NO respect for her position.

I don't know how else to say this. But this store is dark and depressing. For some weird reason the front of the store is very well lit while the aisles and the back of the store where people actually shop is barely lit. Check the pictures. I took over 90 pictures while in here and had to use the flash every time on a XS MAX. The store is barely lit. Also no-one greets you when you walk in even though you pass by multiple employees. I even said how are you doing to a few employees and they don't even reply back. It's like your not even there. ???? The overall store is dirty and there were sales papers on the floor throughout the store. Has anyone heard of the word SLIP & FALL prevention? Now for the food. IDK if it's just this store or giant corp. But their prices are sky-high here. Most of the stuff you will find elsewhere for like half the price. A thing of Nathans 6pk hotdogs were ON SALE for $5. When Wal-mart and target sales them for like $2.88 everyday. The eggs, milk and definitely the frozen foods were way overpriced. Pizzas are like $8. Now for the check-out process. There is like two human cashier registers open with long lines. Giant is trying to get everyone to use the self-checkout.. Lastly this place has not one but TWO security guards which paints a bad image for the store. Also their is panhandlers right outside the door asking for change even with security right there. Also I STRONGLY URGE people to back in to a space. It seems like the people here like to jump behind your car when you're backing up. I actually seen someone run to the back of someones car when they were backing up i guess to get hit. Truly amazing.......

This store is outdated grungy dark depressing and disgusting. I went to use the PNC Atm and decided to purchase some cold cuts and get cash back instead. It smelled like pure GARBAGE back there.! Plus the fridge that has cold cut meat etc was FAR from cold. It was damn near salmonella standards. The cost of fruits and veggies too damn high for some rotten foods. The onion and potato trays are always a moist moldy mess. It's disgusting. This is why i switched to Aldi! The health inspector will be there soon...

Unbelievable that this store has 4 registers in Customer Service and you have wait for an hour to be service. The person behind the counter has to: Answer phone, Lottery, Money Orders, Western Union, sell Cigarettes.... IT'S RIDICULOUS!!! And a manager is pushing carts instead of helping at the CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK!!!!

Not sure whether to call this giant food small or compact. It has all the things you're looking for in a grocery store just not a lot of them. Parking is a little tough packed in to the Laurel shopping mall. But if you're shopping at a nearby store and you have got to pick up an item or two head on over to giant.

Worst experience there yesterday. I wanted a rain check and had to stand in line at customer service for 20 minutes. Only one cashier at customer service. At no time did he ask for help. The line is getting longer and longer behind me and the customers are getting irritated. When it's finally my turn and I tell the cashier I would like a rain check for the ginger ale, he proceeds to leave customer service (with this long line) and go to the soda isle. When he comes back I asked him did he really just go check as if he did not believe me?! His response was they now are required to check before the five you a rain check. I told him did he think I just stood in a line for 20 minutes without checking the entire store?!!? Where do they do this at! This was ridiculous!!! I bet this does not happen at any other giant! I know it doesn't happen at wegmans nor Whole Foods!

Neutral rating for this location because of the panhandler out front. I've come here twice over the past month, and both times encountered aggressive panhandlers. In the evening the right-side doors are locked/blocked off. There is security inside playing with his phone. There is a great big automated coffee machines. There are two Redbox kiosks. There's a pharmacy here. And a PNC bank. All I needed was a gallon of dairy milk, and they were sold out. I had to take a leap of faith with pea protein milk, which tastes all right but not what I was looking for. There was no blizzard or storm. I can only imagine what this store would be like when there IS one. I appreciate that there were around six self-checkout lanes open. There was only one staffed cashier in a regular lane, and half dozen people in line. That register went down, causing everyone in line to queue up at a different register. I avoided that mess by going to self-checkout. The machine did not recognize my Bonus card number, nor did it recognize my parents'. This was irritating because I knew both accounts existed. I asked a woman behind me for hers, and hers didn't take, either. I won't be coming back to this location. Too many annoying inconveniences to have at a grocery store.

The couple times I've been here, there's never anyone in the customer service area. I was just looking for an ez pass the time i was there. The cashier didn't even look at me when i asked and sent me to customer service where i waited for about 5/10min until someone showed up. Whenever the person showed up, it was just to tell me they don't have them.
