Just close this location! The employees are barely present and clearly would rather be anywhere other than this place. Every. Single. Step. Takes forever, even with a reservation! The car was FILTHY inside and out! It also smelled AWFUL and the best they could do was “put it in the notes”. It literally took 12 minutes to get a receipt which we had to request, it was not offered, at the close of the rental. Feel free to come here, but also know what you’re walking to.

Great experience, no problems at all. The Tesla Model 3 I rented came with all the appropriate adapters and was the nicest driving experience I've ever had.Automatic supercharger billing was very convenient and charging at home worked great too, given enough time.The only strange thing is that I wasn't able to book this reservation directly through Hertz's own website, while I could through a third party. This was no problem for me but should really be fixed for the benefit of other customers. On the Hertz website it always tells me no cars are available at this location, which is incorrect. The website overall is also quite buggy.

Car was filthy on the exterior, dirty interior seats, glass, and everything else. Only one vehicle available. Exterior was severely scratched up like someone had intentionally taken a key to all the back and sides of vehicle, and to top off, left rear tire marked low tire pressure about 2 miles into driving home. Called the roadside service and was told I had to pay $87 to have the spare mounted and then whatever else on top of a voucher was needed for “repairs.”

2 stars at this location, because I reserved the van online, and used it. The front brake rotors were warped, (the van shook when the rotors heated up) and no windshield washer fluid. I had to clean the fingerprints and hand marks off the windshield. I couldn't exchange it, because it was after hours. No other complaints until I came back from my trip a day earlier. There's no drop box, so I had to keep the van over night. When I returned the van (when they opened) I was told the charge would be offset for the day. My receipt was emailed, (showing when the van was returned) and I left . My final bill came and nothing was offset. I called and couldn't talk to anyone about the bill. I was charged for the full day and no adjustments were made. I was charged for the full day of rental, insurance etc. an additional 130.00. The staff seemed like extra work to offset thd bill was a bit much for them to do. Nice experience.

Be carful this place over charge you if you keep the car over 28 days and never tell anything about it when you go the first day of the renting so make sure you bring back the car after 28 days I wish staff explain that but never tell anything bad customers service never go back there for sure !! And tell all my friends on top of it give dirty car nail in tire cigarette smell etc ..!!please avoid hertz car rental

I’m at the laurel location for my reservation. They open at 8am. It’s 8:10am and no one is here to open. Very unreliable staff.Update: staff arrived 13 mins late with an attitude problem. Didn’t even greet us.Now they are saying they don’t have the Tesla we reserved.

Reserved my reservation online, Came into the store they had the same size vehicle I requested for. Gave them my insurance policy number and Credit Card and we went over the car together and that was it. Easy, efficient, and the car looks great. Front office was professional and easy to work with. They sent me my contract and check in photos through email so I can see any previous damage that could be there so there is no discrepancies. Overall Great experience great rental as I drove it 600 miles to Canada and the return process was even faster. Awesome experience !

Booked at 5am Saturday.. We Never got a call back nor did they left my husband on hold for a hour and store closed at 12pm sat so we did not get a rental NOOOOOW.. no one is picking up at 8:48am my reservation is at 9am once again no pick up

Ridiculous, they don't have the car I'm looking for... They don't pick up the phone to check if the cars available. It said it was available online when I reserved, I come in person they have another one a lot more expensive than the one I reserved. So I was wasting my time riding around to various Hertz location none whom pick the phone

Horrible service. At Hertz you can count on the following: 1 Online Reservation + 1 Confirmation Email = 0 Car Rental. I made a reservation and received a confirmation email the same day. My reservation clearly stated it was a set price for any level car, including electric. Car selection was company’s choice. When I arrived, the Hertz employee said he cancelled my reservation because no cars were available. Minutes later I saw another customer request and pay for an upgrade to an electric car. So cars were available! At Hertz it’s acceptable to cancel reservations and leave customers stranded.

I am not sure what happened to my previous complaint (review). Reserved a car. When we went to pick up the car, they asked for a large deposit. I decided not to get the rental, was told there would be no charge. A few days later, they charged my card the entire amount for a car rental I never received & I never signed the documents. That's why this loc has low ratings. Absolutely ridiculous!

I would give less than a star if I could. I am a Gold member and I will never rent at Hertz ever again. I am awaiting the corporate office to call me back if they ever really care about their business. The manager Axel, has the worst customer service etiquette ever. He refused me my rental that was already paid for, all because I wanted to include an additional driver and was willing to pay for it- which ultimately was waived because Hertz company policy allows me to add a driver for free since I am a Gold Member. He even called the Laurel Police Department on me simply because I insisted on getting service that was already paid for and not refunded. Needless to say, when the Officer got there we were able to find an alternative solution- which was still an inconvenience for me, however, imagine how this could have gone wrong in a million different ways if I was indeed belligerent and as asinine as the manager acted! All I have to say is, be very careful if you go to this location to rent, they are not your friend and are very entitled based on how they deal with their customers! They must have been treating customers horribly for a long time without any consequences for the bad behavior as I see similar horrid reviews here!

Many staff were just walking around and sitting inside on their phones. The two young men at the receptionist desks were very kind and were doing a very good job. They were answering the phones, cleaning the cars and helping customers. They were amazing.

Good MorningYesterday I was at the Hertz location in Laurel Maryland (Hertz Car Rental - Laurel - Us 1 HLE)I spoke with Keith over the phone last week and he assured me that when I got there to rent with a debit card I only had to pay a $200 deposit. SoI arrived at the location. The staff was very talkative with each other. The lobby is pretty small so it can get congested quickly. My friend and I felt very awkward at this location. Keith was at the counter when we arrived. The greeting was very dry and he never made eye contact with us. He just kept telling me to insert my debit card. I was so confused because I didn’t even know how much the rental total was going to be. Every question I asked him? He ignored my questions and kept saying “ Sir enter your debit card please” finally he told me that it would be $500 for a deposit. This was a total inconvenience for us being that we drove all the way to Laurel MD which is a 46 min commute from my house. The Manager was reluctant to come talk to me about this issue. We waited 20 min and the manager on duty was very nonchalant and he rushed us out of the business with his personal business card. We felt very undervalued at this location. I ended up renting at Enterprise instead. Hopefully service improves at this location
