Had me standing at self check out for 10 minutes for manager to come over and apply discount that should've automatically rung up in the first place. Worst Micheal's I've ever been to.

I am so pleased with my visit to the frame shop in the Michael's store in Laurel. Joseph went above and beyond to repair a custom frame and replace the broken glass after it had fallen. I just come for an estimate and thought they might ask me to return once I removed the broken glass. But Joseph (the frame shop manager) thought nothing of it and took care of it right away. Friendly fast service, I will return for custom framing in the future.

With Christmas coming up I had to start my shopping. With two nieces wanting drawing items I figured this would be good enough place to start than anywhere else. Both of the nieces are big into drawing and had items on their list that ranged from Sharpies to calligraphy pens. I figured I would give this place a shot first to see what I might be able to grab at a decent price. One thing to note, the Sharpies and pens are basically in two different sections of the store. Took me a frustrating minute to figure that out and have to backtrack to the other section. What I thought was going to be the start of my shopping turned out to be a pricing trip. Everything I looked at appeared to be marked up compared to other stores and online. They did have the items, but I wasn't willing to pay almost double the asking price at other places.

I have a warm story I will tell for a long time to come. I went to Michaels to find a few Poster frames for both poster sized memorial fotos and to create a picture collage. After searching the aisles for the frame and glass I was looking for, I decided to ask for help from the framing department. I felt that Joseph was waiting to help me. I was met with "Tell me what you need". He was so generous with his time, quick to assist, and genuinely caring. Joseph (the framing manager) you were a huge reminder that there are still good people in this world. Thank you again

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!! 40% off sales on Christmas items! Winning!! Stopped by earlier to get some blue and silver accessories to complete the holiday look. There were tons of decor and on sale!! Shout-out to Juliana, who was super helpful! I've never had any issues at this location. Thank you!

This is one of the best Michael stores that I have actually frequent. After going to the Bowie store numerous times, and the only thing they specialize in is, long lines, two cashierd, and poor customer service, and they never get it right. Going into this Michaels great customer service, the cleanliness of the store and the friendly employees really makes it worth traveling 40 minutes out of the way.

A clean Michael's with a nice selection of items and amazing sales. I always go in for one thing and leave with several. From home decor to DIY you can find all your planning and decorating essentials. Make sure you check the ad as well they are always running sales and coupons are always inside. I love this location although i've never had a bad experience at any one of their locations.

UPDATE: The management has changed quite obviously in recent years and I'm so relieved to be able to shop here again given the convenience. I can actually also use my teacher discount without being treated with suspicion even though I do keep proof on hand just in case. I'm fine with employees checking but it's the way they address you and ask that makes the difference. The old manager actually denied my measly discount even though I showed her proof and had spent a whole lot of money in that store for all the classes I've taught over the years. Usually the store coupons are better than my discount so IDK why she chose to give me such a hard time. Anyhow, everyone now seems to be nice and customer-service oriented. I'm happy to bring my business here.

Like this Michaels however really need to make sure that the hours for operation are consistent online. It was extremely disappointing to make a special trip out here this evening (after checking hours) to find that the store was already closed.

I have always had a good time here finding my art supplies and such. This review is specifically for Aaron's Frame shop. Took in some well earned Navy memorabilia to have it framed. The size of the paper was weird, the frames didn't fit right, and I couldn't find a border (don't know the terminology) thing that worked with it. Then enters Sam. A man who knows his way around the sharp side of a frame. This man is so awesome at his job, that if you needed to ruin someone's life, he'd be able to do it for you. He would frame them up for a crime and poof, the cops would be like, "well dang, he's clearly framed but Sam did it and... well it was too good to not put the wrong person in jail." In all seriousness, they did a great job with a good turn around time. I felt total confidence in the shop that they were not going to damage my important paper work I wanted in frames. They look beautiful and we just hung them in the wall. They are so totally awesome. Really brings the room together. I would bring all my framing needs here again. I would not take them any place else.

I'm obsessed with this store! There's always something I could buy. I visited today looking specifically for a 6 x 8 picture frame, but I've not had any luck finding that size, here or elsewhere. There were a lot of unique and cool stuff that I could see in my house but I resisted and will return when I need to scratch that shopping itch. This store is well organized and has helpful, visible staff walking the sales floor. I didn't ask for help, but it was good to know that there were employees around to assist.

Seriously the customer service here is bad. It pisses me off when it's 1000 people in line and they have one register open and the person working the register doesn't have the common sense to call for help. I know you're not the only one working today and I'm certain it's eight people in the back eating candy they've stolen from the front. Come here at your own risk. Only if Have time to waste.

After checking the website for availability, it showed multiple items in stock. Drove 45 minutes. When I arrived checked with staff there was not even one. They should work on updating their inventory.
