The jerk chicken, egg and cheese on coco bread is spicy and delicious. The coco bread did get soggy rather quickly but it still tasted good.

I was so excited to check this cafe out and was disappointed. The concept of a jerk chicken sandwich is very intriguing but it was poorly executed. The coco bread was super soggy, the jerk chicken lacked flavor and rubbery taste to it. I do not think I'll be returning, I wanted to love this place especially since the customer service is so good.

The espresso tasted like normal black coffee. Also I asked for iced and it was hot. The lemonade bussin. The smoothie tasted like bird seeds and bitter fruits blended with water. Gross. The food looked good, but the drinks were a huge diabolical miss.

Service was great. My fam loved the breakfast croissant with bacon and the turkey sausage, egg, & cheddar croissant. I had to add a lil salt n pepper to my egg, swiss, lettuce & tomato croissant but it was still great! Oh, and they have the BEST lemon pound cake! We have a new breakfast spot! ?

My go-to spot for fresh, healthy meals & smoothies. I also buy their sea moss. Love this family oriented place. Nothing but good vibes here.

More than Java is located on Main Street in a pretty busy area. There's street parking available and I'm happy I was able to find a spot immediately on a Friday during lunchtime. I have been wanting to try this restaurant since I heard about the jerk chicken, egg and cheese sandwich on coco bread. Like, what? Everything about that sounds amazing and it truly was. I think my eyes rolled back on that first bite. I also ordered a croissant for my daughter, a lemon muffin, and two lemonades: pineapple mango and hibiscus. The price was pretty good too. Everything I tried was amazing. The sandwich had a nice kick to it and wasn't too spicy. The bread was hot and soft. The lemonade was delicious and not too sweet but full of flavor. The muffin was still moist hours later. I'm so glad I finally got a chance to try them out because everything was great. The customer service was exceptional and the gentleman behind the counter was really friendly. I also loved the music playing. I can't wait to go back to try more items. Plus, they have a section for health items like sea moss, burdock root and much more for sale.

Located in historic Laurel, I popped in here after completing another errand. The parking appears to be predominantly street parking, however I did see what appears to be a public lot nearby. This is pretty much a carry out spot, I vaguely remember some tables. This was my first time here and the gentleman behind the counter was very kind and helpful. I asked what was pretty popular and he suggested the jerk chicken, egg and cheese. There was another customer in there at the time who indicated the jerk chicken, egg and cheese was good but very spicy. So I got the jerk chicken, egg and cheese along with a cold pressed juice. The jerk chicken in my opinion was not as spicy as the other customer hyped it up to be. However, I enjoy spicy foods so I acknowledge my spice tolerance is probably a little higher all things considered. While not that spicy to me, it was indeed delicious. The coco bread it comes on was so soft and the chicken tasted well seasoned. The cold pressed juice was so good I forgot to take a picture of it! I think it had ginger and hibiscus. I'm only sad I missed out on the banana pudding. That seems to be a hit there as well. I'll certainly be back to try the other juices, another sandwich and hopefully snatch up some banana pudding. Enjoy!!

The waffle breakfast platter was not good. The waffle was hard and dry. The potatoes had too much herb seasoning on them. The cheesesteak had the same herb flavor. We did not enjoy either meal.

I recently visited More Than Java, drawn in by its reputation for an intriguing dish - jerk chicken, egg, and cheese sandwich. The concept was unique, promising a fusion of bold flavors. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The jerk chicken, which should have been the star of the dish, lacked the fiery, aromatic depth typical of jerk seasoning. It was overly mild and somewhat dry, failing to deliver the expected punch of flavors. The combination with egg and cheese, while creative, didn't quite meld as harmoniously as I had hoped. The cheese's richness and the egg's subtleness were overshadowed by the chicken's lackluster taste. Additionally, the overall presentation of the dish was basic, missing an opportunity to elevate the dining experience. The restaurant itself had a cozy, unpretentious charm, and the staff were friendly, but these positives were overshadowed by the disappointment of the main course. This dish had the potential to be a standout offering in a small eatery but fell short of its promising description. Perhaps with some tweaks to the recipe and cooking method, it could truly shine and match the excitement it initially promises.

When my husband first took me Maryland, he said I would love this place. He was correct and this was one of the first places I fell in love with. The owners are a beautiful family. The food is excellent. On this visit it was Bagels and Lox for the win.
