My daughter and I have been coming to this nail salon monthly for the past two years and have always had great experiences. I have recommended many friends and family to this salon because a good nail salon is hard to find! After today’s experience, I will be looking for a new salon. My daughter got a full set with gel on Sunday. Today, she simply opened a door and her whole nail popped off. I took her to have the nail repaired and was charged $5. I questioned the charge because it hasn’t even been a week, and the fact that the whole nail popped off with such ease leads me to believe there was an issue with the application. The receptionist, who was really sweet, asked the nail tech if he would waive the fee, and he simply refused. I totally understand a fee for a nail repair after a week or so, but after a few days? I think that is poor treatment towards customers, and is a true sign of greed. I had much higher hopes for this salon and am truly disappointed with the level loyalty they show their loyal customers. Do better Pro Nails.

Pro Nails is a beautiful nail spa! It’s decorated in a calm “beachy” vibe. They sterilize their instruments each time and each customer has their own pedicure kit each time. Very clean. They have a plethora of colors to choose from for your nails- from traditional nail lacquer to dip powder and all the things. I love going here and highly recommend this nail spa! Ask for Bella, you’ll thank me!

The pedicure person was on her phone the entire time she was working on me. She cut my nails too short.

Great service! This place is excellent! They took my friend and I and treated us like queens. I've gotten compliments on them--not because they look fake but because they look so natural!

I am very disappointed with my recent visit for a gel manicure.I made an appointment for 2 so I could go with my friend. When we arrived, they sat us apart, and when we asked at multiple times if we could be seated next to each other, they said no.The nail tech was very rough with my hands, hurting me during the cuticle care and filing process. One of my cuticles bled. The shaping was done very poorly. My nails were uneven and rough, which I needed to fix myself after I left. The color I selected was an opaque shimmery light blue on the color swatch. On my nails, it is translucent and you can see through it. Additionally the application is uneven, gloopy at the nail tip, and thick. When I brought my disappointment to management, all they could offer was to add a different color on top or redo my nails. I did not want an additional thick layer nor did I have the time to sit around for another 45 minutes to get my hands battered again. They said a refund for the incredibly subpar service was not possible.I am very disappointed with this terrible manicure and experience. I will never return.

Pro nails …. more like POOR nails. This is a sad excuse for a legitimate nail salon. I read the reviews and somehow was delusional to think that I would be different, and boy was I wrong. I came into the salon at 7pm, 1 hour before they closed on a Monday night. I asked for a regular pedicure and gel french tip manicure. I was seated and then the lady got started. She didn’t do too good of a job in getting any excess skin around my nails, but she sure did pick me like I was a potato. She hurt me plenty of times and with each time I told her she just laughed and apologized. Then it came time for the awful manicure. I had come in with drug store nail polish on my nails and she asked me if I needed it soaked off (any nail technician should know the difference between regular and gel polish but apparently not her). She took it off with acetone and got started with the manicure. For the french tips they were not even and weren’t even a crisp straight line. This is not my normal salon but I was hoping that they’d at least be able to do a decent french. Then once the manicure was finished I saw pink nail polish still on my nails on the sides. But the worst part. The lady tried to overcharge me $20 by putting an “additional fee” of $25 instead of the $5 it costs for a french. Thankfully the receptionist was there to tell her about her ‘mistake’ (which didn’t seem like it was a mistake because she repeatedly asked the receptionist to leave when she was doing my check out). This place is full of scam artists who should not even have licenses if they can’t do basic styles or remove regular polish.I feel so sorry for all the people who go to this salon or even patronage this place. If you haven’t been, DON’T. They try to get extra money out of you for an extremely poor job.Services: Pedicure

I decided to check this place out since I recently moved to the area and always drive by it. The service was fast but the quality of work and customer service, was below average at best. I went in for a gel pedicure and as soon as I got seated I felt the water with my hands before putting my feet in and realized it was too hot. When I kindly asked for the water to be cooled down a bit, the owner (an older Asian lady with dirty blonde bob haircut) was dismissive and kept telling me to just dip my feet in and that they would adjust the temperature after— but the whole point was that the water was too hot for me to put my feet in the first place. Then the owner proceeded to make a comment to the next nail tech working beside her about how customers always complain that the water “is too hot or too cold” as if I wasn’t sitting right there fully aware of what she was saying. Very rude! That part alone was enough of a reason to never come back. Secondly, there is a young girl that works at the front desk to check clients in. The way the owner and a guy named Peter interacted with her and spoke to her in front of everyone was completely unprofessional. I don’t know if that’s just their relational dynamic but for customers it sounded disrespectful. I kept looking up several times in disbelief. In fact, as I was paying and leaving the owner was scolding her loudly about an error she made in front of everyone. Lastly, my gel pedicure was mediocre considering I paid $52. Definitely sticking to my regular nail salon in Silver Spring and never coming back here again. Even though I moved away from Silver Spring and it’s now a 25 minute drive, I’d still rather go there and get quality work and great customer service for $50+.Service: Pedicure

Disappointing Experience at Pro Nails & Spa: Unfortunate Encounter with Owner JulieI recently visited Pro Nails & Spa at 8305 Ice Crystal Drive, Laurel, MD 20723 on July 3rd for a manicure and pedicure. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the unprofessional behavior of the owner and operator, Julie. Prior to this visit, I had been to this salon a few times, so it pains me to write this review. My appointment began with a different nail technician assigned to serve me. During the pedicure, I noticed polish not only on my toenails but also around my toes. When I asked the technician if the polish was old, she confirmed it was not and even consulted with a male technician nearby, who claimed it was new. As the pedicure continued, the technician asked me if I liked the outcome, a customary practice in some salons. I responded that it was okay, but mentioned the excess polish around my toes. The technician acknowledged the issue but attempted to remove the polish using an emery board and tweezers, a practice I had never encountered before and found uncomfortable and unsafe.I politely requested that she refrain from using those tools to remove the polish, but to my surprise, she persisted and called over the other nail technicians and Julie, the owner. Rather than responding positively to my reasonable request, they seemed to dismiss it as if it were unreasonable. Seeking understanding, I turned to the salon assistant working at the cashier and asked her to explain the situation. The salon assistant fully grasped my concerns and agreed with my request. She then proceeded to ask the technician if she could use acetone or nail polish remover to address the issue, to which the technician agreed. However, as soon as the salon assistant walked away, the technician resumed using the emery board and tweezers.Feeling uncomfortable and confused, I asked her once again to stop and call the salon assistant back. The salon assistant then explained the situation to the male technician beside her, who abruptly withdrew himself from the situation, claiming he was not involved. This sudden change in his demeanor was bewildering, as he had been actively participating in the conversation until the salon assistant's response didn't align with their perspective. The gel polish was not coming off with the acetone alone, so I suggested the use of soaking polish remover or to just take it all off. The technician proceeded to roughly scrub off as much of the messy polish as she could and hastily applied oil to my feet, tossed a towel before abruptly walking off, leaving me sitting there feeling alone and embarrassed.Throughout this ordeal, I maintained a polite demeanor, but whenever we engaged in conversation, the technician would call over other nail technicians, including Julie, who would respond loudly and defensively. This behavior made me uncomfortable, as it felt like a simple discussion was being blown out of proportion unnecessarily. The two other ladies seated opposite me seemed puzzled by the situation as well. One of them suggested that I write a review and asked if this was my first visit to the salon. I questioned both ladies if I had done anything wrong because I was genuinely confused. Both ladies assured me I had not done anything wrong and they were puzzled by the situation.Following these events, the salon assistant approached me and informed me that someone else would complete my nails. However, I thanked her and decided to leave. What happened next was even more unprofessional. As I approached the register, I asked the salon assistant if I had done something wrong, to which she replied that she was confused and had no idea. I requested to speak with Julie, the owner, who responded dismissively, claiming she was busy. Her station was directly behind the cashier, and I could clearly hear her conversation. Another customer, whom Julie was servicing, suggested that she should talk to me, but Julie refused, stating that the customer's nails were still wet. When the customer mentioned that she could wait for
