Great selection of products but horrible customer service! Management needs to explain the importance of customer service to employees. No need to go above and beyond but just general courtesy is lacking.

Great selection of Asian cooking items from Korean to Japanese to Thai. They also Kaffir lime leaves, which can be hard to find when making curry. They have a wide selection of noodles ranging from fresh udon noodles, Hong Kong wonton noodles, to all the packaged dry noodles. The one downside is their seafood section is to be avoided. It has a pretty awful odor and a good bit of their “fresh” seafood shows the telltale signs of being old. Mushy looking fish, sunken eyes darkened gills, etc.

Today this ignorant lady refused one of my dollar bills because it had some type of damage to it. Sadly she is unaware that the man from the western Union inside the same store gave it to me and that the bank would not reject it. She proceeded to be ridiculously rude about it when I explained it to her. Then she said that they do not go to the bank. That is when I said stop it because you are lying. When I asked if they kept all of the money inside the store she said yes. Again I told her to stop it. It was a horrible experience because I know very well that even the bank itself would have taking it. She definitely made this shopping trip a miserable one. When she realized that I was taken pictures she tried to do the walk of shame but I told her too late and that I was going to share her and the experience. I will never shop here again or recommend them to anyone. In regard to meats there is a wonderful market in laurel called Al-Madina Halal. The meat is affordable and fresh. Most importantly the people are extremely kind

My husband and I were in there today, thinking we would find some better options for me, since I am vegetarian, thinking the variety would be great. Not only are the prices extremely high, especially considering there are a number of places to get the same products far less expensive, but I picked up three different packages of hot peppers and all 3 of them were full of mold. Products you can get at any regular grocery store are at least $2 higher there than anywhere. I am a very conscientious shopper, and am always aware of the prices of many products, so I knew immediately that the prices were a scam. These people are taking advantage of shoppers because they emphasize the “international” portion of the store and make it seem like you can’t get the majority of the stuff they sell anywhere else so they can markup the prices even higher. We will never step foot in this place again and hope other shoppers are more aware of the price gouging and moldy produce that was everywhere. There was even a man stocking and I know he heard us say it was all moldy and he ignored us. You can find better, and less expensive shopping almost anywhere than this place.

I used to always come here to get my seafood. But I will no longer be putting my money in this business. It is absurd that they sell seafood that are not good and it could kill someone. I brought blue crabs from this establishment and out of the 5 crabs I purchased only two seemed edible. 3 of the crabs meat were black as if it was rotten. As an owner, you should make sure your produce, meat, etc is fresh. I find it disgusting and a negligence on their part. Not to mention that they also had beef tongue by the beef section filled with mold. Why is it on the shelf when clearly it’s not edible? This is why inventory and inspection should be done to make sure you’re selling fresh and safe product. Unbelievable. I will no longer be showing my face here .
