“Came by here last night and they had such a large selection of items in great condition. We were able to get some great finds and I honestly wish that I had more money for some of the other clothing I saw. I will 100% be coming back when I have some more money. The staff working last night were also very nice.”
“I’ve been using this service for years and have never had an issue. As long as you put the confirmation email paper taped to your boxes or items, you should have no problem in getting your items picked up.”
“Price points are very high for a thrift store… plus, it’s cash only, which can be a pain in the neck. Still, I’ve found some lovely treasures here, so I keep returning, despite the drawbacks.”
“I’ve been coming to Laurel Thrift Shop since I was around 8 years old, so this place holds a lot of memories for me. My mom used to bring us all the time, and one of my favorite parts of this visit was seeing Johanna still there after all these years. She even rang me up, and we recognized each other right away. It made my day.
I’ve thrifted all over the world over the years, but Laurel has always been one of my favorites. Every time I’m back home in Maryland, this is one of my stops.
What I love most is that they’ve stayed true to what thrifting should be. The prices are fair, the selection is incredible, and you can still walk out feeling like you found a hidden gem instead of paying retail prices. The staff have always kept everything organized, and the sales are honestly some of the best around.
I’m visiting from Germany, so it was bittersweet to hear the shop is closing and reopening under new ownership. I really hope they keep what has made this place so special for so many years.
Thank you, Johanna, and the entire Laurel Thrift Shop team for the memories. This place has been part of my family’s life for a long time, and it’ll always have a special place in mine.”
