Worst service experience of my life - one star is the lowest possiable but should have negative numbers for this business. I always expected good things from Toyota, not here. My visit cost me over $100.00 and I received nothing of value in return as I had a Seat belt and antenna that needed replacement, service department was unable (incapable) of performing either task even though I provided Toyota parts from their parts department. I was told me to "go find some where to get my seat belt welded" and that my antenna was corroded (hence the why I wanted the repair and provided a new assembly). Upon picking up my vehicle another customer came in conplaining of the damage to his vehicle from Toyota SOMD mis-service that was leaking oil all over the entrance (oily trip hazard as I left ~5pm, 4 Jan 2024)... I have extensive experience in the repair and customer service fields and understand the requirements of both, Toyota of Southern Maryland can add this review to what I see are many other failures that reflect Great Disappointment, so WORD OF MOUTH - Beware, My Honest Opinion, less than 1 Star WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND

Went out car shopping on Saturday to a number of dealerships in Calvert and St. Mary's. Felt very unimportant, rushed and pushed away at Toyota of Southern Maryland. Came specifically looking for a 4Runner and had a budget, did not receive any information on incentives, was offered to look inside of one vehicle that was already being looked at by another customer and did not feel welcome to shop at this establishment. We ended up purchasing from a dealership in Calvert and ended up spending outside of our budget.

I worked with Edward Bates when I needed to replace my older RAV4. He was charming, courteous, and definitely a true professional. He made the experience of buying a car an easy and quick experience. I recommend him for anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. He definitely deserves five stars! Shoutout to Amber in services as well. She is incredibly kind whenever I have to go in for services. The whole team is fantastic and I will trust that my car is in good hands.

I give them one star for being available. But seriously think the guy that we talked to tried to sell us a car with some obvious BS talk. Maybe he will need some training if he is trying to sell a car that is listed for $20000 over the MSRP. Plus the vibe I got was totally off. No thanks, I will take my money elsewhere, not here!

I had an excellent experience at Toyato of Southern Maryland starting with my salesman Mark Hayes. He was very experienced and answered all my questions concerning the car. Mark went out of his way to find me the exact car I wanted. He kept me up to date on when the car would be delivered and set up my car with my contacts and went over everything about the car with me. I would definitely buy another car from him and will recommend him to my friends. Again, it was a great experience.

Our daughter was visiting from South Carolina and needed work on her Camry completed while here (brakes, coolant, etc etc) and Amber Bond in Service was outstanding. She did an excellent job of keeping us updated on recommended repairs and costs, and was extremely pleasant to work with. Amber even managed to get all the tires replaced at the last minute as our daughter was scheduled to leave the next day!! It is so refreshing to have professional customer service and a representative that doesn't just "check the box" but goes up and beyond.

Every time I've contacted this dealership, I've been met with unresponsive sales reps. They just seem unwilling to help customers. They are still charging the scam mark ups and just really don't embody the definition of a good dealership. Overall, would not recommend.

The Good - Bought a car here and the salesman was fantastic! I was in and out within 90 minutes. If Isaiah is still there, ask for him if you're buying a car. He will take care of you.The Bad (it's really Bad) - The Service Department is absolutely terrible! If you have a warranty that covers oil changes, be prepared to spend 2 hours + at the dealership. Also I wouldn't trust their courtesy inspection. I came in for an oil change and had a headlight out. I told them it was out at service desk when I checked in. When I was told my car was ready, I looked at their courtesy inspection sheet and it said it passed. Clearly they didn't check it or they would have seen it was out. So I go back inside after realizing it was still out, got the service manager and she fixed it free of charge. A few days later I was checking my fluids which should have been topped off (it passed their courtesy inspection as well) and my coolant was bone dry. Needless to say I wouldn't be going here if it wasn't for the free oil changes! On a positive note, the service manager was awesome to deal with. Also free car washes are only good if the car wash is operational. The car wash seems to be down more than it's up. It's also a very rough car wash, it knocked my grill guards off my car a few times. Overall if you're looking to buy, this is a great place to purchase a Toyota or a used car. If you're looking for a good service department, you're going to be disappointed.

Recently, our car was stolen. We now live in Baltimore. Having bought two cars previously in Southern Maryland from Jamie Pizzo, we trusted her to personally select for us the "most car" we could afford in their used line, because we only wanted to make the drive down once in our 1979 Lincoln Towne car, a gas guzzler! We were thrilled with her choice. She gave us a good deal on a great car! Our family will be her customers for life!

After purchasing a vehicle from this dealership it was diagnosed with a SEROUS AND UNSAFE TO DRIVE transmission issue - plus several other issues. These were reported to the dealer immediately after purchase. Thus far, I have experienced over $3000 in repairs and rental cars on a vehicle I just purchased from them. Their claim that they thoroughly inspect the vehicle prior to purchase is either not true or a total joke. Their owners and management refuse to return a call or help to resolve the issues noted. This has been the worst car purchase experience EVER. Because no one will return my call and no one (owners or managers) wish to help resolve this, it can only be resolved by going to court and calling it out via social media. BUYER BEWARE. This dealership does not stand behind the product they sell. You will note that they probably won't even respond to this.
