These ladies that work here go out of their way to take care of every single pet. They really care about animals here and it is my to go to place. I feel like I get just as good care here as I do at the veterinarian

In the Fall, I moved here so am new to the area.My dog-ter split two toenails on her back paws, one on each foot, and both are bleeding so she is constantly licking them. I made an appointment.Although the woman at the front desk said they don't "do toes, nor have an x-ray machine".Overall, the staff is awesome!

I have been going here for years with several of my dogs. Dr Knight is kind and compassionate and really cares about not just the patient but the humans who care for them. The women at the front desk care about the animals and will do what they can to help you. I honestly don't know many vet practices (if any) that take walk ins any more. Also, the vet hospital I go to has just started asking for deposits because people cancel appointments a lot or just don't show up. The Well Pet Clinic doesn't have these types of policies. Because they are low cost - they don't ask for a deposit and you can walk in, but please be prepared to wait while they fit you in between appointments. And don't make life harder for those who do have appointments. It doesn't look good for you. This clinic is not a hospital. That being said, they do have an impressive array of services that they can do. Just keep in mind that their time is pretty valuable because they don't charge what other vets charge. So please be courteous when you are here. Dr Knight is happy to answer questions about your pet's condition and what you need to do to fix it, and the medications are also very inexpensive - but don't go crazy and tell Dr Knight about your other pets that aren't there. Unless you are worried that they might have a bearing on the pet you brought. One thing I have noticed in a couple of the reviews is that some people say that the staff is rude. Personally I have never seen that. But sometimes if a person comes in and they are yelling or upset, the ladies at the desk will try to calm them down - if they don't respond to that they will try to make themselves understood. Things happen. And yes, they do not have the most convenient hours. This is difficult. Again, this is a low cost clinic and they do not have the budget to stay open like a regular vet practice. This practice is primarily to address the overpopulation of dogs and cats in shelters - so they do a lot of neutering and spaying. That is the primary drive of this practice. What they do in addition to that is gravy. We can be grateful that Dr Knight can spend some of that time seeing our pets and helping them in routine care. But when we look at the primary mission of this practice, it is easier to understand why the hours a little irregular. I know this review is more about research than anything else, but I genuinely like the folks here and always make an appointment before bringing my dog. I treat the folks with respect because I am glad they are seeing me and am thrilled with the low bill that I pay. Please be kind to these folks.

Always good service.. The staff takes their time and doesn't rush you out the door. They are all about the animals not the moneyAll of the staff were very caring when we had to put one of our furbabies to sleep. Dr. Knight was straightforward and helped us make the decision so our girl didn't suffer.

I'm giving this 5-star review reluctantly, but only because I love them so much and want to keep it a hidden gem. They've taken care of our two puppies as if they were their own. From puppy shots to spay and neuter, this clinic is accessible, caring, honest, and fair. The ride from Oxon Hill is brutal but well worth it. We always pay more than the requested fees as they are a non-profit and we want to ensure that they know we appreciate them and believe in their cause.

I adopted my 7 year old cat from them 6 months ago after my wife passed and he has been the therapy that helps me every day. I recently took him back for shots and checkup. Staff and doctors were fantastic, all questions and concerns answered and I will return for all vet. needs. I was thrilled with their service (much more than my cat)and price was reasonable ??!

Great and affordable but making appointment is a little pointless. You still have to wait awhile like a walk-in.
