Very poor customer service! They hang up on you, pretend to transfer you to "the appropriate dept" and act like they cant find the phone numbers of other NG credit unions. If you dont work for Northrop dont join this credit union

Their customer service reps are still incredibly rude. When you make over your monthly payment, beware it does not go towards the principal. They try to say it does but it doesn’t and then they argue with you, try to demean you and speak to you like you’re dumb. When I requested all of that money I paid extra be reversed and put towards the principal, they told me no and Tod or Rod whatever the managers name is, told me that “for future reference you can put it towards the principal only.” They’re the only credit Union I’ve banked with or bill payee that doesn’t put what you make OVER the minimum payment towards the principal. Once my loan is paid off I won’t be back. Should be embarrassed to be affiliated with Northrop Grumman.

I just went into the NGFCU website. I do this several times a week and it has drastically changed and NOT for the better. Now if I wanted to see everyone's accounts I have to toggle between three (3) pages of screens. Why are ALL these options now on the main screen when I look instead of segregated! THIS IS WAY, WAY TOO BUSY!!! I understand change and usually, I find pros and cons. I can find no pros to this change. Further, I snip and clip the transactions into a document electronically for future reference and mark notations next to the transaction line items regarding what was purchased and/or why money was deposited or transferred. Further, now there is tons and tons of unnecessary white space spreading these transactions down multiple screen pages. If I want to print the newly captured line item transactions (which previously were in straight lines right under each other) I now have to waste two (2) to three (3) times the paper and printer ink! Is the credit union in cahoots with the printer suppliers? This new website is an extremely backwards step and is detrimental to productivity as well as costly to the consumer from a printing aspect and printing supplies aren't cheap! I have been with the credit union since I started work in the area for many, many, many years ago. My mother had accounts there when I was a child and I have now worked for my company for 40+ years with an account there. I have gone through many revamps and upgrades through the years. I have never had one that I absolutely disliked the way I do this one! What a sad day for website updates!!!!!!

I have belonged to the Northrop Grumman Federal Credit Union for over 20 years Their phone customer service has disintegrated to the point it is a joke. You wait hours on hold, are transferred back and forth because no one want to help. The last straw was fraudulent charges on my Northrop Grumman Federal credit card. When I went on line to check charges on my card - I found two fraudulent entries from the same company - HC*HC One entry was denied because it had the wrong expiration date. The other entry was denied stating it was fraud. I don't know who HC* HC company is but if you google that name you get scam notice. At no point did the company directly contact me or advise me of the fraudulent charges or advise me to cancel the card and reissue a new card. I had to call them. And then I noticed a charge of $94.13 that was paid to HC*HC by the Credit Union on my card. I disputed the charged and asked them why they would have not have resolved this one I stated they had been aware from the previous entries posted to my account. Next day those entries are gone from my online account. No one can state why they are gone. But that was evidence that they knew the entries were fraud. It has been weeks and I am still trying to get the $94.13 they did pay.. Member services states it isn't their responsibility to help and Dispute department states it is. I will be looking for another company to handle my bank account and my credit card.

This bank is a shared service center branch for my bank. I was greeted and assisted by a very friendly and professional teller. No long line or wait was in and out. Other teller next to mines appeared to be friendly as well. I would recommend this bank.

I applied for a home loan and the loan officer who was assigned to me was not helpful at all. After I provided everything that was requested from me, although I have a great credit score and my finances are in order, he rejected my application with a little to no explanation saying something that my rental property was an issue and that no lender was going to give me an approval.Needless to say, I got approval within days from another major credit union and a private lender with very good rates. Ended up buying a home within a month.I’m not planning on giving any business to this bank and I don’t recommend them.

This bank is a shared service center branch for my bank. I was greeted and assisted by a very friendly and professional teller. No long line or wait was in and out. Other teller next to mines appeared to be friendly as well. I would recommend this bank.

I called to inquire about a house refinance loan and he kept trying to push a Walmart gift card on me. And when I questioned him about it he disconnected me.

At Branch #120 , I have had the most issues with the ATM. I have repeatedly called the 800 number to complain. Either it is not functional at all or it is out of paper and you can not get a receipt. Currently the past two tries I was unable to get a receipt.

NGFCU is a wonderful place filled with friendly, helpful and awesome people! They consistently go above and beyond for their members and would recommend them to anyone who is tired of their crummy retail bank.
