6690 Sang Run Road, McHenryWhile visiting deep creek for the weekend I was worried about trying to find safe gluten free options as someone with celiac disease but mountain state made that easy. They have lots of salads and sandwiches that can be made gluten free. They offer gluten free buns and will modify according to your needs. The best part is the pizzas! All of them can be made gluten free with a safe crust! When we arrived I asked our server, Ryan, what the precautions were with the modified pizza and he was able to tell me how they avoid cross contact in the kitchen. When we ordered i accidentally ordered a drink that had a rim that was graham cracker dusted, my husband noticed and pointed it out, Ryan immediately apologized (he didn’t need to) and offered to have it made gluten free. When he came back he let me know he talked to the bar manager and was able to tell me exactly what I could and couldn’t have! I felt totally at ease ordering here and would absolutely come back. Thank you especially to Ryan for helping make this experience so awesome!

25259 Garrett Highway, McHenryStopped by when in Deep Creek and it was a great experience all around. Staff is friendly, the inside dining room is super clean and spacious, bathrooms clean, and there are cute pigs everywhere.
We got the half rack of ribs and a chicken platter, both of which were delicious! The chicken falls right off the bone and has plenty of flavor even without sauce. Baked beans are amazing. Super great experience!

Pine Lodge Steakhouse
1520 Deep Creek Drive, McHenryIt was our 60th anniversary and we made reservations in advance: wasn’t at all crowded(after main vacation season); Noah was our server and, even though he was serving a very large family party, he was attentive and friendly with us: food(medium rare prime rib) was shared and was most excellent!! Totally delightful experience.
