The store is stocked and clean but some of the cashier's are lazy. Ever since they started the bag ban, wont bag your groceries. I come here once a week and have only had 2 cashier's that were helpful. Even when I hand them my bags I brought in, they still don't bag. Not only do I have to pay for bags now or bring my own, I have to bag my own groceries that I paid for.

If I could leave a negative star review I would. Today I walked in to get seafood, nothing super hard, just shrimp and crab clusters. And as you walk to the seafood spot, there are MULTIPLE signs saying they will steam the seafood for free (not that the price would have mattered). So I begin to tell the lady I wanted 3 pounds of snow grab clusters steamed when she rudely cuts me off to tell me "we don't steam seafood here". And I was confused. I said as I pointed "but it says right here you do?". She proceeds to get nasty saying "well it's wrong we dont". I then proceeded to communicate how I was confused again pointing at the sign. " I don't know why you're confused, we don't steam seafood here". I said nothing else and simply walked out. I then proceeded to take my business to the Perry Hall Weis location. Where the experience was a complete 180. Super nice, respectful, and helpful. Won't ever come to this one again after this.

Store workers are great just wish the prices weren't so high on certain things Pharmacy workers are superior, go above and beyond to make my family feel safe and make sure we understand the meds we take answering any and all questions we ask (even if it's the same one over again?) with a smile☺. I'm so glad I live so close.

The fresh sushi, salads and seafood by the deli never disappoint! Also a great place for Fresh baked pies and cakes..When I can't make it out for a special occasion, I like to go to Weis because they always have something, I can pick up to make something special at home! ?

We need to stop buying fruit here. For the past month anytime we buy apples or raspberries they go bad in two days. That’s ridiculous. Are you also serious with how long the self check out TAKES!??!?!! Stop letting people come through it with 100+ items in the cart and make sure your employees are attentive!

Just moved into the area and this is my easiest point of shopping by walking since I don't drive, and sure enough the first experience I had in this place was negative. I talked to a manager about potential employment to which he essentially evaluated me and said things about my generation / "people like me" who quit too quickly and he wouldn't to be likely to hire me, which initially gave me a bad impression. Then, fast forward to literally 20 minutes ago from when I am writing this, I walk to the store to get a drink as well as some snacks, while checking out I am stared down by an employee, I did not catch her name, and as I begin to walk out I smile and nod, to which immediately after turning my back to her, I hear "weirdo" clear as day and said towards my direction. I NEVER write reviews, I have been in customer service myself as a barista for over two years and I have never, ever been interacted with by staff of any place like this at all, and I'm genuinely disgusted and upset by the fact that their general attitudes (managers or just employees!) seems to be so lackluster. I work in a high paced barista environment and have had people scream in my face, throw money at me etc and not once have I ever just called them a name where they COULD HEAR or even say anything to them. Im not saying "customer is always right" here, but when all I did was smile and nod at you, maybe you shouldn't say something rude where I can hear it. Do better. This staff seems just plain gross, and honestly now I'm relieved I didn't apply. For a place so desperate for hires you'd think the environment would be better!

I come to the store regularly because the produce is really good but all good things have to come to an end. The last three times I've been in the store they've called out security scans on black people. The last time it happened I had been shopping next to the guy and his daughter for about 15 minutes. They were just walking the aisles shopping, debating about which type of pasta they wanted to get for dinner. Meanwhile people from every department came out and stared them down like they were dogs.I go today they've installed the carts where you have to have a quarter to check a cart out, I don't have a quarter I guess I can't make my full shopping list, I grab a hand basket and get what I can get. I get up to the self checkout two items in my car wouldn't scan, The last time I was in here on the self checkout they had to come over four times to fix weight problems for me.There are three other markets in the area, I suggest anyone planning on going to this market to check it out steer clear and frequent one of the others.

I have been growing increasing frustrated with Weis for quite a while now.I'm going to add my voice to those complaining about inventory. Inventory is a big problem. It's pretty rare that I can go there and get everything on my list. They are always out of stuff that other stores are well stocked on, often for multiple weeks in a row. But it seems like they are always really well stocked on Weis brand products, they're not running out of the specific items they want you to buy.It seems like they've cut down their work force a lot, and are trying to steer people toward using self check outs. In the past few years they went from a good amount of cashiers working at one time to one or two, who don't seem as well trained and efficient as they used to be, with several self check outs open instead. I once even had an employee walk up to me while I'm waiting in line with a full cart and suggest, twice, that I try a self check out. Everybody says nobody wants to work anymore, but the impression I get is that companies just don't want to pay employees anymore. And now, this week when I went to the store, I found the carts are locked together and you need a quarter to unlock one. So what happens when you don't even tend to use cash, much less carry change around with you and find the carts at a place you've shopped for several years suddenly require a quarter to unlock? It's a bit inconvenient. I guess they don't want to pay somebody to collect carts anymore either, so this is an attempt to get people to bring their own carts back?UPDATE: I bought a can of salsa con queso this week (August). I just discovered it has a July 2023 Expiration date. This is less than a month after I bought a package of hot dog rolls that had mold on them 2 days after I purchased them.2ND UPDATE: Do they just not pay anybody to take calls on the main service line anymore? Ran into yet another problem where I was charged for stamps that the cashier forgot to give me, and I can't reach anybody to confirm I can just come in and pick them up in the morning. Just rings and rings and rings. It's getting to the point where the benefits of shopping here, convenient location and coupons, are having a harder time measuring up to the growing frustration of shopping here. I really miss the Mars that used to be here.

I used to like Weis and still shop at other stores. BUT, the store on Orville Rd recently implanted a policy where you have to insert a quarter in the chain mechanism in order to use a cart. I do not carry cash of any kind, so did the manager of this store think about customers like me? How am I supposed to shop???The store on Scott May in Parkville laughed when I called to check if the same policy was implemented there. It isnt!isn't!! Apparabtly, the manager of that store has more in the ball and us mire skilled at doing their job.And what on Earth could be rhe reason why they keep the carts chained up? The only one I can think of us a deterrent to theft. But no. Year can't it because if someone wants to steal hmthe cart, they will - quarter ir no quarter.I quit shopping at BJ's for the same asinine policy, and I will quit going to this store also and take my money somewhere else. I just hope Weis Senior Management will cut their losses and find another job for this Store Manager. Rounding up carts from the parking lot would be IDEAL!!!

It’s 2023. We don’t carry coins anymore. The quarter to get a cart thing cost you my grocery list today and I don’t look forward to coming back. This WAS my go-to grocery store. Time to try Food Lion, I guess.

Weis… it’s the only grocery store nearby & convenient for me. Otherwise it stinks. It’s produce is hit or miss, but mostly miss. Meat section is slim pickings also. It used to be called Mars & Mars had a little more selection. They are slooooow to restock. If you find something you like & others like it too then grab as much as you can cuz it’ll be awhile before it returns. That means horrible inventory control. Poor selection choice also. But you get lower prices here. Pretty close to Walmart prices for staple items. I like the self-checkouts. They have the 4 mini versions but also 2 lanes with long counters and large bagging areas. They should get additional mini carts. Seems like they have 5 total so I never get one. I do a lot of pickup online orders. Several times 1/3 of my order will come back “out of stock” but I started going in & locking for myself when the same items repeatedly showed as out of stock and found that they were in stock but whomever was doing the shopping didn’t know their own store. And never ever order produce for pickup because you will get rotten fruit. And try going to customer service to tell them, “hey, you charged me $5 for a service then couldn’t accurately fill my order,” but they won’t provide any comp to you. Even thou I had to walk in to find items claimed to be out of stock but were actually in stock, even thou I consistently get wrong items, & even thou my tangerines are rotting with mold, no comps! So why, you may ask, do I bother shopping here? Cuz they won’t build a better store on Route 43! We want a Whole Foods!
