Came one time with our neighbors and instantly hooked. Family Annual Pass Members now. The cafe food was amazing, the grounds spectacular, the house exquisite. Love seeing all the topiary. Well worth a solo, group or family trip. If you love the outdoors, you won't be disappointed

Went for Halloween and had a great time with friends I was very impressed with the pumpkin carvings. Several areas to buy food and drink and the landscaping was very well done. Price was a little steep in my opinion but I know it takes a lot to make things look great.

Very beautiful place, our first stop is the cafe and oh my the food was so delicious! I had Chicken salad on croissant ? it was cery fresh tasting and their homemade chips are really good. We walked around after lunch, and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather and you can see the different colors of the trees because we were at the very top. I would come back here!♥️

It was a beautiful evening. There were so many beautiful flowers to find and they have a Butterfly house. I absolutely love the ponds and water fountains throughout the property. We ate at the cafe but take note reservations are absolutely needed as this was a special event. I became a member to support the gardens.Restrooms: Yes there are restrooms.Picnic area: I saw several people who brought their own chairs or blankets and had picnics on the open spaces of the lawn. There were many open spaces to choose from! They were also a few tables here and there that you could claim.

Love this place. Super well maintained, fun to explore all the areas and learn about the history. Highly recommend checking out if you are in the area. Double check before visiting when they're doing tours of the house and try and get there in time for a house tour!

It was gorgeous but for being in a wheelchair it was more work than it was worth :( the paths are almost ALL gravel which is impossible to get a standard manual wheelchair over. It was a little upsetting because I had to walk over most paths, using my chair as a walker.

Road Trip with my cousin.Enjoyed the gardens and ponds. It would be nice if there were signs describing the plants and flowers. Perhaps even the history of the Topiary itself.Wonderful parking and the tickets are reasonable for seniors. ( sorry families )The food is *more* than great, but go early so you can enjoy the berry salad.Okay, my multi cultural people, love ya'll bye.

Beautiful gardens with plenty to offer for less than $20/person. You get a butterfly house tour timed pass with purchase of an admissions ticket, and we got there close to the next butterfly house tour so we just waited in the little area outside of the screened in area until our time. The docents were extremely knowledgeable and clearly excited to share their interests and assist in any way they could. We spent about 2 hours total exploring the grounds at a leisurely pace, which included walking the entirety of the nature walk through the forest. There was a fair amount of poison ivy close to the path so be careful if you are allergic. I also ended up with a deer tick crawling on my leg so be sure to do a tick check after your walk/visit!

Really beautiful place, probably one of my favorite gardens I've seen. Only thing I would say is I think ticket prices could be lower , it was $17 for an adult. Also, the butterfly house was a bit of a let down. We saw maybe 4 butterflies in it, but they did tell us it's been slow so that may be a little out of their control. Besides that, definitely recommend a visit.

One of my favorite places in the world! An absolute must see. I’ve been to bigger gardens and fancier gardens but this one just feels like magic. The topiaries add a sense of whimsy and the overall feeling is laid back, even on busier days. I am a member and find the membership highly worth it!

Wonderfully maintained garden with many topiaries. I thought it would be muddy but most trails and paths have grass or paving stones. Nice cafe in the old stable. Many themed garden rooms. Well worth a visitRestrooms: Nice restrooms near the gift shop and more in the cafe.

What can I say to describe this experience? It's hard to find words. I so enjoyed this visit. The gardens are lovely and expansive. I didn't even see all of them because of how large the property is. Such a gem in Maryland not far from the city lights but feels like you are away from the fray. There were nooks and crannies available with seating so you can take your book or whatever you like to relax. I think it's also a great place to go on a date. Lots of nature to enjoy. It's picturesque so IG friendly. And the most surprising part?! The onsite restaurant! Unbelievable and totally unexpected how good the food was. The mac n cheese was the biggest shocker, umm umm good. Salads were fresh and the soup was creamy and tasty. I definitely need to go back to see the rest of the property.
