It sucks watching a practice change so much over the years. Dr Armitage and Dr Holden put a lot of time and effort into making this one of the best and most trusted veterinarians in the area. Regrettably it seems that has changed. In less than 6 months their rates have gone up substantially. Just an appointment went from $74 to $96.

Country Veterinary Hospital is the best. Dr.King is always focused on our needs for our animals as well as preventive medical care. Would not go anywhere else. Staff is also great and very courteous .

This place is by far the best and most caring veterinarian we have ever been to. Dr King and all of the staff have gone way over and above any expectations we had. The care and compassion showed to our dog Thor and our family is definitely amazing and our family is so very grateful. I would recommend this place to anyone and I will do just that.

This team of caring professionals are the best. Since 2008, when we rescued our first dog, CVH has been there for us. Dr. King takes his time with your furry family members and makes sure that all your questions are answered. Gunta, Joann, the techs and team know you by name and always have a smile. So appreciate all of them.

Went there for 20 yrs. Was 5 star but staff changes have lead to a feel of money first, empathy second. Great vets and techs but first point ”office staff” were uncaring, seemed rushed and bothered and, at times rude. Switched to another practice in Mt Airy.

Country Veterinary Hospital have been our fur babies doctors over the past 30+ years. They have been amazing and have recommended them. We just lost our fur baby and if we ever decide to get another, will certainly return for his/her care. Thank you all at CVH

Dr King is very friendly and knowledgeable, and doesn't push procedures you don't want. Very gentle with my elderly cat and my puppy adores the staff (honestly she acts as of she's never met a stranger in her life so take that with a grain of salt haha)

I really like the vet & the vet tech staff! They’ve always been super friendly, knowledgeable, they don’t appear to be “out to get me for my money” like a lot of vets can be. My only issue is the front desk staff aren’t very friendly. The young lady with the glasses & straight hair always seems to be in a foul mood, & easily irritable. I always feel like I should be apologizing to her for my existence anytime I come in or ask her a question. She’s snippy. She talks very quietly & then gets angry when you can’t hear what she said/ask her to repeat herself. ☹️ I’m always pleasant with her regardless, but it still sucks that her energy is so negative. Especially at the vet, a place where most people are stressed & need help, it would be nice to be met with kindness & compassion instead of attitude & inconvenience. Side note - I’ve been here multiple times & I waited to leave this review to make sure she wasn’t just having a bad day that day.
