One of the best Vet visits we've had in years. This was the calmest our fur baby has been during a dr visit.

My cat was diagnosed with Gerardia, and she had been having episodes of diarrhea and not making it to the bathroom. So basically the medicine they gave us was not enough, the bottle said to give 0.4 ml, and the syringe said to give 0.3 ml. When we ran out (the dose was supposed to last for 7 days, however it only lasted for 4) they were closed that Saturday. And the parasites could have build immunity in that time. Anyway, I asked them why she was still experiencing diarrhea even after I gave her both medicines, and they said I had to give another stool sample. So I did. She was negative. So I asked what do I do about the diarrhea that still remained, and they said they’ll talk to a doctor. The doctor said “congrats your cat has no worms.” AND DIDNT ANSWER MY QUESTION. Now my cat had to be returned to her foster home. I’d give two stars for actually getting rid of the parasite, but I am so angry, since this all could have gone so much smoother.

Everyone who works here are amazing. I really could’ve cried when I saw how they were so good to my rabbit, he wasn’t going to make it and they were so good to him and compassionate to me and him. I had a really bad experience with a vet before I went here. A vet put my rabbit down a few months ago without even trying to save her. I was so scared to bring my rabbit to another vet.
I brought my dogs today to get shots. The vets down to the vet techs are amazing. They actually care about your animals. I’m so thankful.

Our beagle Credence has been seeing the vet at this office for 3 years. We also have 2 Bichons who we take for check-ups and shots. The vet Dr Brianna has been really amazing, caring, thoughtful and a good problem solver. Our Credence was 14 1/2 years old and had health issues. We lost Credence yesterday. I cannot tell you how caring she, her assistant and Judy at the front desk have been. They have gone out of their way for us. I highly recommend this vet.

Before moving to Mount Airy, my cat jumped on a concrete birdbath going after a bird and it crushed his leg. He went under the porch to die. I caught him and took him to the vet. They couldn't save the leg but they could save his life. It cost me $700 to have his leg amputated and it was the best money I've ever spent. His energy came back, and you could tell he was grateful for a second chance at life.
With that water level for what a trip to the vet should cost, you can imagine my surprise when I was charged +$500 for a well visit and some "routine bloodwork".

Dr. Hicks and Dr. Brianna are wonderful as is Junior and the rest of the entire staff! I’ve been bringing our mini goldendoodle here for over four years and will absolutely continue to do so!! It’s evident that they care about each client and I’m so thankful that a friend recommended this practice to me!

Very quick getting our puppy in for examination after being hit by a food delivery vehicle. They took great care of her, were very concerned and quickly arranged X-rays and blood tests. They followed up later to make sure she was doing well. Very, very happy with Mount Airy Veterinary Associates, they will always be our go to for our pups.

We have a zoo of various animals at our house. We are very familiar with the struggles of finding a vet that accepts small mammals. We are so thankful for Mount Airy Veterinary Associates and the wonderful care they provide our animals (and reassurance to the humans). Super easy to schedule with, very kind, and reasonable with treatment recommendations. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a small animal vet!

I had an excellent first visit to Mount Airy Veterinary Associates with my new puppy. The front desk staff were attentive and efficient. Dr. Passmore and Junior were wonderful in handling and examining Izzy, and very thorough with puppy education. It's been a long time since I have had a puppy, and canine health care has advanced over the years, so I needed the refresher.

Dr and staff were amazing. Super helpful!
However, the prices are outrageous… I walked out speechless and in shock after my bill.

This is a wonderful clinic. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my injured Great Dane felt okay. And to be completely honest, they made sure I was okay too. I was frazzled from my dog being hurt; I'm sure I came across as a nervous wreck. They showed me compassion, and most importantly, River (my dog). Dr. Brianna has great communication skills and an overall friendly, caring demeanor. I felt I could trust her to take care of River. She's absolutely wonderful! Now let's talk about the front desk ladies. AMAZING!!! Ashley and Judy, in particular, went above and beyond to make sure River was settled and getting better at home. It truly made me feel that they cared. I went back in to get heartwormer, and River was immediately met and loved on by the staff and Dr. Brianna. It definitely feels like a family
environment. I highly recommend going there.
