Always a great shopping experience!
This TJ Maxx location is amazing! I always find what I’m looking for — and usually even more. The store is clean, well-organized, and has such a great variety of items. The employees are consistently kind, helpful, and go above and beyond. Their customer service is truly exceptional, and it makes shopping here such a pleasant experience every time. One of my favorite places to shop!

My mom and I frequently visit this location for a girls night to shop every once in a while. She invited me this past weekend but I was unfortunately busy. I wish I went with her. She said this was the worst experience she has ever had here. She left her cart outside of the restroom and took her belongings in with her including her jean jacket (which she has owned for several years). As she was in the stall, a disgruntled employee came in yelling “you cannot bring merchandise into the bathroom”. She did not think anything of it and she finished up and went out to grab her cart where she found this employee waiting for her. She began harassing my mom saying that she was stealing the jeans jacket.. that was my moms that she had had for over 10 years. My mom asked her why she thought that she was stealing and the employee said “my manager saw you walk to the bathroom with it around your arm and asked me to follow you and question you”. What an absolute joke. A manager who is too afraid to approach a paying customer and has to get a low level employee to do their dirty work for them? Shame on them and shame on that employee. The staff there over the years has really gone down hill. Highly doubt we will be returning to this location. Will gladly take our hard earned money elsewhere.

The British lady was the most kind lady I have ever met. She was so elegant and helped me with everything I needed help with. If you go to this T.J. Maxx, make sure you get the British lady.

It's the Homegoods/TJ Maxx mothership-and I love it. BIG STORE. Lots of furniture, decor, and housewares on one side. And great clothes, luggage and purse selection on the other. They flew through the Christmas stuff this year and had already started stocking Valentine's Day items in mid December. Next time I'm buying early! Nice service folks and they stay on top of organizing very well given the number of customers in and out of this location. Lots of easy parking too!

This is a very late entry of an incident that took place at the Homegoods/Tj Maxx in Mt. Airy. The disrespectful and discriminating behavior I received from a cashier is still very disturbing to me today.
I was waiting in the checkout line and I was the next customer looking for the cashier’s signal light to proceed to the counter. Upon waiting I observed a hispanic descendant lady walking into the store from the parking lot with a bag in her hand. Instead of walking around to enter the checkout line, the hispanic lady walked along the front store near the cash registers and proceeded to join the checkout line. At this time, a hispanic descendant cashier turned on the signal light. As I proceeded to walk to the counter, the hispanic lady and I were crossing paths when the hispanic cashier called the hispanic lady to the counter and stated, “She was next in line.”
Instantly, the hispanic lady turned around and stepped in front of me, before I could place my items onto the countertop, and the hispanic cashier proceeded to assist her with the returned items. At this point, I spoke up (not shouting, yelling, screaming nor being hostile) and said, “I was next in line.” The cashier refused to acknowledge me standing there, intentionally ignored me, and disregarded my presence. At this time, a cashier name Linda (Caucasian) woman called me over to her cash register to assist me and I submitted a complaint to TJ Maxx.
Actions like this proves that Black women are the most disrespected people on this planet. As a Black Woman, I am expected to endure all types of mistreatment, abuse, and discrimination. Most of the racial discrimination acts are taking lightly when reported. Because, if I was a White Woman that would have never happened nor happened the other way around allowing me to walk off the street, skipping the checkout line and all hell would have broken loose. In fact, the store manager probably would have called the police like I stole something. Until this very day, I have not heard from a Store Manager regarding this incident and I have not returned to the Mt. Airy store. This incident was also embarrassing and disgusting. It truly made me realize that if I cannot be treated equally as a customer with respect, this Black Woman is going to STOP SPENDING MY GREEN MONEY where it is not wanted. Imagine if all Black Women just take that Stand to return items and stop spending our money because we are tired of being DISRESPECTED. It would “Speak Volumes.”

I usually visit Frederick tj maxx but yesterday I decided to visit Mount Airy Tj Maxx/Homegoods and loved it and decided to come back today again. Store is so neat, clean, has lot of choices from clothing to home. Everyone is so friend but what coughs my eye is employee name Frandia Ou she was amazing she wrapped all my things to
Make sure nothing gets damaged but all the time she had an amazing smile on her face and this is type of employee that make us come back. I hope she grows in this company and that she is recognized for her hard work.

When I got to the check out line I thought it was going to take forever, but the line moved rather quickly. Friendly & efficient cashiers make a difference!

The selection is great, prices are great, employees are fantastic but the lines are absolutely unacceptable. I know they are attempting to do their best but the line at this place makes it unshoppable. This is the fourth time at least that I did not go foward with over 200 dollars worth of merchandise due to the line.
