“I made a mistake and learned that the $15 administrative fee is for when the office has to call the pharmacy to coordinate the RX, etc. I thought I was going to be charged $15 for obtaining a written RX when coming into the Animal Care Clinic. I have since talked to them and found out that I would not be charged for picking up a written RX. I would like to change and withdrawal my previous comment of them being "Extortionists". When you make mistake, it is important to correct the comments and the review. I read the email and it wasn't clear enough for me and I placed the review negatively affecting the business. I apologize for the misunderstanding and appreciate the business for reaching out to explain it to me directly.”

“Glade Valley Animal Hospital in Walkersville, MD is an amazing facility with fantastic people. I have been coming here since before it existed, in the ‘70s when it was attached to a farmhouse and run by Dr Lynch. I have childhood memories bringing my first puppy here, and my family and I have brought all our cats and dogs to this establishment. All the people here are amazing. We recently lost our beloved family dog, Toby, to an incurable illness. The veterinarian and staff were so understanding and sympathetic; I cannot express my gratitude for their patience and care during an extremely difficult time. I would never think of taking a pet anywhere else. In my family, Glade Valley is synonymous to love and compassionate veterinary care.Thank you, to all the vets and staff; it will be a long time before we bring another dog into our life, but if it happens, Glade Valley will be the first stop. She had to be euthanized and it was handled with compassion and grace. I got to spend time with her before saying goodbye. The procedure was completed kindly. They put a blanket for her to rest on. They have many options for cremation and final resting place. They also do paw prints in clay.”

We still remember the first time when we took our dog for an overall check up, which was the 2nd day after we adopted her from an animal shelter. She was about 6-weeks old, and Dr. Greta nicknamed her the little wriggling worm as she was all excited and wouldn't stay still! Ever since then, Dr. Greta has been taking good care of her! The staff are all very friendly and extremely helpful, too! I strongly recommend this hospital !”

Our dog had been sick and we hadn’t had good experiences at our prior vet and we’re nervous taking him in. Although we didn’t get the news we wanted, they worked with us, made him and us feel comfortable, we’re honest and up front/helped figure out how to make choices moving forward financially and for Reed’s care. Heads up: the lady Vet gives you a Dog 101lesson before she actually checks on what your dog is there for. Doc Flynn is a very knowledgeable guy. I was very impress above all. “Not sure about some of these crappy reviews but I'm the real deal, a local resident of Frederick who didn't worry about price shopping for my sick pet. I called Yellow Springs last Friday morning after being in the ER the night before, Dr K called me back promptly and advised me to come in ASAP. Daisy was there all day, catheterized, given IV fluids and blood work, and diagnosed with pancreatitis. The entire staff stayed late, helped carry my 75 pound dog to my car, and Dr K called the vet at the hospital, sent records and helped navigate my dogs admission. They didn't do all of this for free, but they were efficient, compassionate and quick to help in my time of vet emergency. My sweet girl Daisy is now at home and doing great. Thank you to the entire staff for your help.”
