Hyattsville animal hospital is incredible! The building may look a little old (don't let the looks fool you) but the care we've gotten from them for years has been since and beyond.Their prices are so much more affordable and everybody there genuinely cares so much for your pet.We started going there when we looked for a second opinion on our dog needing acl surgery and it turned out he was fine and we loved them so much better and have never left.Great places like this need our support, give them a shot you won't regret it!

The Vets and staff here are great, clearly careful and concerned for their patients and the families that support them.

Dr. Brittani is the best! We came to this practice on a friend's recommendation due to ongoing health issues with our dog. Dr. Brittani diagnosed him with allergies which resolved most of his issues. She is very gentle and patient and we really felt like she had all the time in the world to address our concerns.

Dr. K is what I believe her nickname-is amazing. She is kind and compassionate. She puts the animals first. I have four cats and so great to finally find a vet I can trust- but is not ridiculously priced for services . Again, the sense of kindness and love of animals is clear.

The staff here seems to be riddled with communication issues. There always seems to be some lapse in communication when attempting to schedule appointments or obtain medical records or prescriptions… most recently I scheduled an appoint Kent for my dog, took off work, and sat in an exam room for nearly an hour b4 I had to get up and inquire about the hold up… I was then told that my dog could not seen today due to scheduling conflicts,… after wasting an hour of my time. I have given this mom and pop operation the benefit of a doubt for the last time. I waited patiently for this appointment and my dog urgently needs help. This is unacceptable.

My dog had a life threatening condition and the surgeon cancelled the surgery at the time of, as in I brought my dog in to be told the scheduled operation would not take place. Had to rush to an emergency hospital to pay 3x the cost. I'm sure others have had wonderful long lasting relationships with this establishment, wasn't my experience.

Dr K is amazing! Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, but she is very compassionate. She spends extra time explaining any ailments, never makes you feel rushed while asking questions (I have A LOT), and never makes you feel pressured into a procedure. She 100% truly cares about your pet (and you). I highly recommend bringing your pet here.

Very attentive to my dogs needs and extremely supportive. This is one of the few animal hospitals that proactively follows up on the specific needs of my dog and not just to say hey come back to the office. Hachi and I will be back!

New to the area and didn't have a vet yet but my cat was having some urinary issues. I called around to find a vet, no one could see her in a reasonable time. It was recommended by several places I take her to emergency vet. The place was clean, the wait wasn't terribly long, and the staff was fairly friendly. But in the end I spent $300 for them to tell me to take her to a vet. I explained that I didn't have one and no one could see her till October and I got told she needed to be seen sooner than that and a shoulder shrug. He did give me a couple recommendations for vets, but again...no openings till October. I asked about starting her on the right path towards fixing the problem now, like starting her on the prescription diet, and got told there wasn't anything for me to do. So a real waste of money and time, but they could have done surgery for the issue which would have sucked more money.
