I was surprised to see some of the other reviews because I've had nothing but a great experience and friendly customer service here. This is my go-to gift store. I've bought wedding, birthday, hostess, baby etc gifts here and the recipients always LOVE everything. The owner is also great at suggestions when I don't know what to get. I've never left here disappointed - or empty handed

I bought my first metal earth model from here. My wife buys her Betsy Ross wallets from here as well. This little shop has all kinds of things from homemade soaps to novelty cheese spreaders, Metal earth models to babies first items, shaving kits to unusual wooden toys. This shop has a small bit of just about everything plus she continues to bring in new and unique products. The owner is a very nice lady I always end up having a great conversation with her. The prices are reasonable some things are a touch pricy where others are cheaper than you'd think. I have always had a good experience when visiting Saffron Creek. I do recommend this small shop if you want something a bit different.

I love supporting local businesses & this is no exception. This is such a cute store. Whenever I am in town, I stop in and walk out with my hands full! I've gotten perfect little gifts for friends that just had babies, a few small stocking stuffers for my boyfriend, and some great steals on Vera Bradley bags! Also, the card selection is amazing & hysterical! Highly recommend!

What can I say beyond the soaps are always my favorite part! I always look for a new scent but end up buying my go to bars. My boyfriend loves the men's bars too! So everyone leaves happy! Great seasoning packets for fish & chicken, really great for grilling! As for the rest of the store...I never leave empty handed! Gifts for everyone can be purchased from birthday, Christmas, wedding, baby! Truly my go to place for special gifts for special people. *make sure to check out the jewelry cases always very unique pieces!!

Adorable display drew me right in; disinterested customer service prevented me from purchasing more. I knew right away that I wanted some handmade soaps. I immediately thought I would buy one for each of my friends (around 8 people). Then I saw the TokyoMilk display and got really excited; I've only ever tried the Dark collection, so naturally I was curious. During my time in the store, nobody approached me or asked if I needed anything; the cashier did her own thing. I heard my friend ask her a few questions and the answers were all similar: "back there," "no," "yes," "have a look." I'm a bloody tourist. I love spending money on unnecessary things. All you had to do was get up, ask if I needed anything, make a suggestion in regards to what I was looking at, and basically close the sale by nodding and telling me it's a good choice and I can only get it locally. Boom. Done. $$$. Ended up getting ONE mini soap. That's all. It was selfishly for myself because it smelled of bananas and I thought that was pretty novel. I walked the length of the store multiple times looking at bags, charms, etc. Not once did the cashier try to engage with me. She hardly wanted to speak to me when I paid. Oh well. That's bad business. I definitely think there are some unique items in this place, but without someone willing to show me around, there's no point in me digging for hidden gems. I'm on vacation--I don't want to work! Amp up your customer service bit and you'll have more sales. That's all there is to it.

Saffron Creek is a fantastic gift shop on Main Street in North East, Md. I found there a wide variety of unique cards and gifts including beautiful nautical items. The owner is cheerful, friendly and very helpful with suggestions. I've always been successful in finding the perfect gift for adults or children.

So to begin, shop owner would not allow us to bring in a stroller so I had to wrangle a toddler. As we shopped, she rudely interjected into our personal conversations and made comments about things we were looking at as if we were not intelligent enough to read for ourselves. She spoke in a rude manner. I ended up purchasing a small item but wanted to spend more time browsing. Since I had the toddler, I decided her rudeness did not deserve any more of my money so we left. There were many things I would have liked to purchase. As we browsed at other shops (which had way less stroller room in them), we were greeted kindly and even let in the back door of two shops with stairs to accommodate the stroller. As the afternoon went on, it bothered me more and more so I decided to earn other moms about the rude shop owner at Saffron Creek. Her business may not last long if she doesn't work on her customer service.

Not a "mom" friendly establishment.
