“My car broke down up in the mountains as I was driving from Wisconsin to DC for vacation, just as I was coming into Maryland. I had to call AAA. AAA wanted to tow my car to some place in the middle of nowhere and the driver was kind enough to suggest I would be better off paying to tow down to Oakland else I wouldn't have anywhere to stay for the night. He dropped me off at the motel and made sure they had a room before he took my car to the shop. The next day I had to rent a Uhaul from him to get to a different city due to some shenanigans with no one having any rental cars anywhere. As he was about to confirm the destination that rental place called and said they actually didn't have any cars. He was not only patient but also helped find other locations along my route and how close they were to the nearest Uhaul since I would have to walk between the two.”
