I stayed at this location a few years ago. The staff at this location was pretty good. The rooms are OK, but the location was great.

Overall the Monte Carlo was a good place to stay. Right on the boardwalk and has a cool Crepe Cafe on the first floor at the boardwalk. Only negative for us was the mattress was very uncomfortable so we did not get much quality rest.

To start off... the location of the hotel is amazing.
Nice and close to the boardwalk and beach. But their rooms and service DO NOT make up for the location. We were put in room 507 and when we arrived, one of the beds had wet marks on it.
Further looking around we noticed black mold on the ceiling and climbing up the curtains near the ac. Called down to the front office and all they said was okay you can go to the room upstairs. There was no apology made or compensation (not that I expected my money back). Not to mention there is no parking on sight of the hotel. You need to park at least 2 blocks away or pay 22 dollars (I believe) per day... Save your money and find a better place.

We just came here from Howard Johnson’s not so far away and I’m so sad that we switched. At first we were excited because of the rooftop pool but I wished we stayed at Howard Johnson’s. Parking was horrible. You have to walk two blocks to even get to the hotel if you don’t get good parking. Also the elevators take forever it’s insane. The food there was good, and the room was clean and well decorated. Good luck getting a nice shower. I went to take a shower and since it was only for a day we didn’t bring our shampoo inside. I wish we did because there was a drop of shampoo left. My family called the front desk to complain. 15 minutes passed and I said I needed to get a shower before check out. The shower head was very uncomfortable. I finish my shower and no one came with our shampoo. They did eventually bring the shampoo a minutes after our checkout time. I recommend you go to Howard Johnson’s and save you money because for 409 bucks it shouldn’t be this crazy for one night.

This was an amazing hotel. Customer service was awesome, the young lady and the was amazingly helpful and caring. My birthday vacation was awesome thanks to Monte Carlos's. Especially with the roof top bar and pool. Thanks for everything Myra I will be back soon

Location was great, placement on boardwalk was nice, rooms were quite dirty, sheets were covered in stains and did not smell nice at all, shower was covered in hair. The shower water was cold and had little to no water pressure
Check in and out is awful, you have about 20 minutes parked on the side of the road (road in which people are honking and trying to squeeze through a one way road) to bring your stuff in, parking is a block or so away from the hotel.
in the end i would recommend staying somewhere else, not clean

Great hotel. Clean, modern. Perfect location. Room had quality Wifi for work.
Rooftp pool is a little basic, but great views of the ocean and the bay. Closest thing to a complaint would be the elevators, some of the slowest I've ever seen. Would stay again.

Rooms: Adequate and comfortable.
Walkability: Boardwalk and beech right there. Not luxury, but with teens, it was normal hotel clean.

Website doesn’t say anything about PAYING TO PARK YOUR CAR ON THEIR LOT …They have 2 separate lots to park and the “Premier parking “ is 22.00 a day to only have trees very close and tight to park near other vehicles (would be different If it was a nice parking garage deck)

Excellent hotel right on the boardwalk with very good crepe restaurant in-house. We enjoyed the indoor pool when outdoor weather was poor. Will come back again.

The hotel is in a perfect location, and the rooms look really nice on the surface. However, check closely for cleanliness before unpacking. We found out the next morning that a previous guest had spit their bloody mucous filled saliva all over the shower curtain and housekeeping had neglected to clean it or replace the shower curtain.
When bringing it to the front desk clerk’s attention she could not have been any more rude & dismissive. In fact, she and the 3 other employees did enjoyed laughing about the situation in Spanish which I can only assume they thought I didn’t understand.
The assistant manager did reach out to me late that evening. (Probably because the manager couldn’t be bothered) Being exposed to a stranger’s blood and other bodily fluids is worth 10% off the room rate, just for the record.
