**I strongly advise against patronizing this establishment.**
Upon entering, my companions and I, all over the age of 30, were subjected to racial profiling by the manager on duty. This incident is unprecedented, as we are regular customers who spend a significant amount of money at this business.
I strongly recommend patronizing the neighboring liquor store, particularly if you have a friend of color. This establishment appears to discriminate against individuals of other races. Such behavior is unacceptable in the year 2024.
I implore you to refrain from supporting this racist business. The owner’s tendency to engage in arguments with customers further emphasizes this unacceptable practice.

Year round local that takes special places like this for granted… I’ll snob out on good beer but the selection is always fresh and exactly what you’re looking for here… but then something right next to it is even better! The staff is extremely friendly and dynamic in every field of inventory. As much as it may be a turn off when things are passed off between employees, asking about Pinot demands a much different palate than a hazy IPA. Phil will help guide you on the perfect beer and then gladly guide you to John to make the recommendations on the wine for your significant other. It’s the confidence the staff show in each other’s recommendations that allows me to try new things. Otherwise, at other stores I steer right towards what I know is good and that’s it… This is thee best place to stock up on the way into town to say the least!

Welcoming, friendly and non judgmental crew working here and helpful too. Came in asking where their cheap beer was and they rolled with it. Had to ask for help picking amongst said cheapest beers. Shared that we didn’t have a clue bc it was for cooking crabs not drinking and usually use whatever dad has stocked. RIP his IPA. Staff pointed us to the National one originating from Baltimore saying it was quintessentially MD crab and beer experience. Perfect rec bc loved the pitch, packaging and reasoning given that we weren’t basing on taste. Fastest in and out decision ever. Crabs came out great ! Paired well with vinegar and Old Bay. $12 for 12 glass bottles pretax.

I’ve been here twice now from out of state. The team will go out of their way to ask you what they can help with. Being a beer snob myself they’ve had great recommendations. It’s not a 5 stars just for service. It’s a good selection. Bourbon, beer, wine.

West O Bottle Shop and Bar exceeded all my expectations! As a local, I was unaware of its existence until now. I always thought it was a Bar. The vast selection of wines and liquors instantly made it my top choice for shopping. Matthew's exceptional service, even on his last day, made our visit memorable.

We are from out of town and stopped in for a beverage! It was the nicest liquor/wine store we have ever visited! John who had assisted us in our selection was so helpful and knowledgeable on his products! They offered such a wide variety of wine and the atmosphere was really cool!

This is the "Go-To" location for locals in Ocean City and surrounding towns. The selections here are very good, they have various tasting events, and the staff is simply superb. If you are looking for some good local brews, their beer experts will take the time to walk through the various products with you and explain why they chose to carry a particular beer. You can buy mix packs to try individuals, and they offer discounts when you buy in bulk (4 6-packs mix & match, etc.) I strongly recommend West-O for all of your bar replenishment needs.
