Do not open a HY account with Cap One. Their customer service is horrific. Most customer service reps don't even get what the actual problem is, much less can help to solve it. I have spent hours and hours trying to get my account set up properly with my mobile number which the site just won't recognize. I solved the problem by transferring a HUGE amount of $$ out of Cap One into a REAL bank.

HORRIBLE BANK WITH UNTRAINED STAFF WHO STEAL FROM MONEY FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! DO NOT GO TO THE OLNEY BRANCH!!!!! They have STOLEN $5,000 in cash from me. They took it last Saturday for a CD. now they say they can't give it back and they cant open a CD and they dont know where my money is. The next day, they put $170,000 (you read that right) in my account for two days and then took it out. The manager hide's out and won't answer the phone. She gets the employees to lie and say she isn't there and now she all of a sudden went on vacation starting tomorrow. THEY ARE STEALING OUR MONEY AND USING IT FOR THEIR OWN VACATIONS! I am out $5,000, DONT LET IT HAPPEN TO YOU TOO!!!!

I have had a terrible time trying to speak with someone who Speaks english clearly to help me know why u shut my acct down with my debit card?
I have had the card for years & never had a problem. I don't use any credit cards & I depend on using it all the time. Groceries, on line baking, gas stations. Dept stores wherever I go. I hardly ever use my checking act to write checks anymore. It has taken at least two weeks or more to get my debit card back!! I plan to choose another bank as soon as this situation has been resolved ! When you had a branch in Mt. Airy it was fine. I got no notice when the branch moved! I went over one day to get Cash & the branch had moved without any notice to your customers, which I find unexceptable for a bank or any other place of business!! I will be looking for a new bank as soon as posible.... A very unhappy customer!

Shout out to the branch manager on duty today at noon for declining to waive the $10 fee for issuing me a cashier's check since I am a senior and have banked with them since they took over Chevy Chase Bank. The young lady that helped me at the counter was very pleasant though. This is another reason for peer to peer transfers .....HODL

Stopped in today to apply for a credit card and it went very well. Nick was very helpful and answered all of my questions. He even stayed on hold to help expedite the process of me receiving my new card.

Have had checks cashed multiple times for a fee in the drive thru. Now all of a sudden you claim you don't cash checks in the drive thru for non customers. Now you apparently need a 2nd id to cash damn check

Pay attention to the previous reviews, was a bit hard to believe it could be this far off. Tried to cash a check for a fairly large sum of money from another broker and after the teller has to put me on hold two different times to get fairly simple answers. I was told I had to deposit the check, wait till it clears, then schedule a time a few days later to receive the cash...it could take up to 10 business days. Time for a new bank.

We visited the branch on 8/18/23 to add my wife as a joint owner to our new 360 account. It was a tedious process but it got done thanks to the concerted effort of Marquelle. He was very patient and friendly throughout the time that it took.

I tried to open a business bank account online. After completing a web form, the "thank you" page that follows instructs you to visit a branch and provides you with a list of things you'll need to open a business bank account. Articles of Organization are NOT on that list (for an LLC).When I got to this branch (Olney), I was told I need the Articles of Organization. I asked them if they could get them from Maryland's website (articles are public), but they said they could not, so home I went (frustrated).After printing the Articles of Organization, I decided I'd better call the branch to make sure there's nothing else I need. It turns out that even if you bring all the docs to the branch, they "send them off" to be reviewed AND then they follow up with you to make an appointment to open an account (what??!).So, I decided to try Sandy Spring bank (which is around the corner from the Olney Capital One branch). They were able to open my new account on the spot. I told the employee helping me my ordeal at Capital One... he said, "that's interesting... if you didn't have the Articles with you, I would have just pull them up online."Given how easy the process was, I'll probably move everything to them (personal and business(es)).

Just deposited just over 1,000 through ATM and the atm went down in the middle of transaction. I never got my money. The customer service is terrible and the fat guy with the greasy shoulder length hair should be fired for the way he's handled it.

I have always had a positive experience in this branch. It would be great if they keep the same tellers instead of changing them every year.
