Always friendly and helpful, but there’s always a long line because they’re so popular

Always a great experience. The ladies are helpful and nice, especially Suzanne who goes above and beyond to find answers if they are not readily available. What a nice change from the CVS pharmacy! Thank you!

Absolutely love the wine selection! Prices are high but it’s not their fault! The customers are friendly and love my special needs son when he tries to help!

I am tech Suzan of new tenure at SWY Pharmacy Olney, and grateful to have the opportunity to serve on that veteran team (& customer for 14 years). The team cares about all patients deeply.I am very sorry to Chanel Love and David Myers and any like them who feel that I was inappropriate or uncaring toward them in how I treat them in pharmacy service. I do care, so I am dismayed to find they left feeling that way.As they note, as my badge and words disclose and affirm to all patrons, I am only a lowest-level staffer at the pharmacy. Still, I work hard to rise to the expectations and hopes of all patients and customers. To fail anyone is anathema to me. I apologize for not helping you leave feeling positive and well-cared for. Yes, that is a core part of my job, I agree.Mx. Love (I do not know your preferred form of address, or pronouns, so I’m using the neutral to not overstep), I humbly apologize for what struck you so poorly as to call my intention ‘condescending’ which is very negative feeling to receive, of course, you are right. I ask your forgiveness.Mr. Myers, I cannot tell what you felt was 'rude' and 'short temper'. Therefore, I again humbly apologize for what struck you so strongly when I and my floater RPH served you cheerfully despite your after-closing-time arrival and subsequent refusal to give your DOB, at first, to specify which pt you are. My manager and I discussed today 3/31/24 your prompt care received, despite you coming after closing time, arguing with our will-call process (instead of helping us serve you as we do for all patients), then barking at me 'are you going to get my medicine or not?!' You may not have understood that, as only a tech, it was not my call to serve you without asking my RPh whether they would make an after-hours exception for you or not. Many floaters I have worked with direct me to tell any late-arriving patient to please return the next day. I do not have authority to offer pharmacy services after closing time. I had to look at and wait for my RPh to decide and instruct me whether to serve you and delay closing even further past 4pm Sunday or not. They were keen to head to their family, as I was to mine, but directed me to go ahead, to go above and beyond as our culture aims to do at Safeway. However, you remained discourteous to me even though we were remaining longer to serve you at your expectant request, sir, threatening to complain about me to management, leaning in to intimidate me and pronounce my name from my badge in a hostile manner, then later posting a public yet unclear-why complaint about me. You clearly have some hard feelings, yet it seems to have been you with the short temper. To err on the side of helpfulness, we were courteous to you anyway to help you not have to wait for opening Monday morning. Your review is a mystery, still. Therefore, I ask your forgiveness for what you felt fell short of your expectations if I failed you in some way.I do not want you to feel unwelcome or ill-treated. I welcome review of those interactions and details you want me to improve, please, or to know struck you so unacceptably. I am open to feedback for my learning, to fix the past and prevent any repeat. I want customers and all people to feel good about interactions and their personal health business that is so very important at a pharmacy. While we all know that there is no such thing as perfection for human interactions, I still believe that things can be improved after a disappointing interaction. You are both right to complain if hurt in some way. Please follow up with detailed feedback to management which you didn't specify in your review. I did not mean to hurt anyone. I surely hope you will return, so I invite you to return. My goal is for you to experience only feeling well served and treated from here onward, including by me, if we meet again.Thank you for your time on reporting this important matter. May you each and all customers be well and feel well served here forward at Safeway Pharmacy in Olney. v/r, -tech szn

We have been using this pharmacy for our entire family for a few years now. I find the pharmacy easy to get in touch with, responsive, and helpful in problem solving.

whomever i just spoke to on the phone was very unhelpful and cut my off from speaking. there is a national shortage of my medication and my doctor has asked me to call around and he will submit my rx anywhere i can find it and this person just said they don't help people who are just shopping around and asked if i was a regular customer they'd help someone get the medication they really need... wow. so disrespectful when i am working so hard to find the medication i really need

Suzanne and Feven are great pharmacists! I know it's a busy location with long waits sometimes. But this one technician/worker, I think it's Susan or Suzan, speaks in a very condensing tone to some patients (Remember she's not a pharamcist but the pharmacy tech). The other techs like Abby and Christina are great to work with! I hope management has a talk with that Suzan girl because the overall service from other members of the pharmacy are superb.

Very poor customer service. Pharmacy tech Suzan was very rude and had an attitude and very short temper. Don’t confuse pharmacist with pharmacy tech. The individual in question is a tech named Suzan.

Very bad experience with those in charge of managing this store, they have a very bad cashier, how an inefficient worker, without racist education, etc.

No hand baskets or small push carts, have to use a large push basket even if you only need a few items. I've asked them why they are the only grocery store I've ever been to with no hand baskets but they don't seem interested in getting them.

My wife and I feel so fortunate to have such knowledgeable and caring staff at the Olney Safeway pharmacy. Most of our contact has been with Suzanne and Christina. Suzanne the pharmacist always takes time to make sure we understand the medications and immunizations she provides. Christina the pharmacy tech goes the extra mile to make sure we get what we need. We feel that they're committed to serving the needs of the community and we appreciate that attitude.

I wish I could give this store 5 stars considering the condition, variety, and friendliness (of most) staff, but the past two times I've come here I've had a cashier, named Tracey, who is extremely bitter and has me leaving the store in a bad mood. She speaks to me (and other costumers) like children/is very demanding with the way she speaks, will not offer to help bag your groceries if you brought your bags, and has probably the worst costumer service I've ever experienced. The first time I encountered her I just assumed that maybe she was in a bad mood, but today showed me that she's just a rude person. I would rather deal with the annoying self-check out than her.

Bought the high priced shrimp the other day. The $20/lb kind. Next evening I opened the package from the fish counter and the shrimp was bad. One day. Couldn't have been very fresh when I bought them. They smelled obviously bad - so I threw them out for garbage pick up the next morning. Went back yesterday to get credit - or new, hopefully fresh shrimp. Both receipt and shrimp were long gone - sorry - I don't collect pieces of paper and/or bad shrimp. Manager of the store was rude and offensive. No good will for long time customer, who BTW, signed in with phone # when I bought the shrimp. Why bother to have a system with customers if Safeway keeps no records. Another bad company/system with offensive personnel. I'll take my business elsewhere!
