I come here regularly to ship out packages and I have never had a bad experience. The staff are always kind and I’ve never had to wait too long even if there’s a line. Ms. Jay is always extremely friendly.

Need to complement letter carrier Chris. Got a message that my meds were delivered by USPS but it was not available in my box. Chris was on relief duty the next day. He found that it was delivered to someone in the next street. He had the courtesy to recover my meds and deliver it to my house. Exceptional customer service. Thank you.

My first time using this post office location. The clerk informed me that they do not print any receipts for tracking, and that the post office was not a full-service post office. I am very concerned that my parcel will not reach its destination as I have no way of tracking.

Somebody stole my return package from their drop-off cart in the lobby. It was before they scanned in the package so I can’t claim the shipping insurance. If you want a package returned, don’t be tempted to leave in that cart. You need to wait in the line and have it scanned in the system, or you only have yourself to blame.

I work from home, your delivery personnel are repeatedly too lazy to ring a doorbell or knock-- but you have all the time in the world to write out the "sorry we missed you" notes pre-filled to stick on a door. I literally watched you do this -twice- in the last 30 days.
Do your jobs. Good Lord, how hard is it?

The worst USPS in the area. I’d rather drive to Clarksburg than suffer the rudeness and vitriol from one particular woman (far right seat) every single time. Not sure why she is in a customer service role!

Inside branch service has always been great. Very nice and competent counter people.
But the residential delivery? Ouch. It's inconsistent at best. I frequently get others mail (the neighbor next on the route) and it makes me wonder where mine is going.
The worst part is package delivery. I would guess I get every other package sent to me via USPS. The rest get delivered, just not to me. If I am lucky, the actual recipients eventually show up and deliver to me themselves. I have complained about this for years and nothing changes.

For the past 2 years, since my neighborhood got a new mail person, our mail quite often goes to the wrong house. We have all just learned to deal with it. However, there has been a pattern of things missing that have never turned up. I spoke with the Olney Postmaster in March of 2023 on the phone about it. He was dismissive and seemed to not be concerned. He even abruptly interrupted our conversation by speaking loudly to someone near him with no apology of doing so. Needless to say I knew at that moment that he was not concerned with my issue. Altogether, I have lost a package of jewelry, 1 bank card, 2 credit cards, and a replacement debit card from the state of Maryland for my child support payments, which was most recent and prompted my in person visit last week. Someone also cashed a $500 birthday check I would have received in November 2022, which I just found out about it this past November. I have had several thank you cards, birthday cards, and Christmas cards show up 2 to 4 weeks (from within the county) after they were sent to me, opened. My mailbox is in a townhouse community and they are all locked. I have lived at my address for 8 years. I live alone with my 9 year old son. No one but me has a mail key. I went in to speak to the Olney Postmaster last week in person. I was going to get a post office box but it was too expensive. I felt dumb for even going in there after how he behaved on the phone before. Himself and another Asian female employee berated me in front of a full lobby of customers. I was told that I should have had the cards padded before being sent to me as if I have any choice in the matter. I was told by the Asian female "who sends checks? You should know bettet". Again, as if I have any choice in the matter. The Postmaster didn't even offer to take my information from me. I had to initiate it when clearly our conversation was going no where. He also told me "no one here steals" which was an odd statement. When I mentioned that I was trying to give him an opportunity to help me before I seek help over him he said he didn't care and to go ahead. Although he did direct me to sign up for the Informed Delivery site. What good that has done because ever since I went into the post offfice last week, I have not received ANY mail which is odd. I am not sure if anyone is even going to read what I just wrote but I had to say something to someone. My mail is missing. I probably won't receive those child support checks and there is nothing I can do about it. I didn't want my mail to go missing. I didn't want to have a problem.

Staff inside the post office have always been nice. My biggest issue with the mail carriers. For YEARS they have been delivering someone else’s mail to our house (which is down the street) and recently delivered MY package to theirs. Luckily the person who got my package dropped off and left a note. A necklace I got as a gift, put it into someone else’s mailbox SMH.

I sent a priority envelope to my grandson for his 10 birthday in Olney MD, but he never received it. I tracked it through their 800 # and eventually found out it was delivered. After some general call backs from agents Kelly from the Olney MD office retrieved the package. Thank you Kelly so much!
