Lovely building, but a shop should be clean and not a hoarders haven for books. There were stacks of books everywhere and falling over in piles. You can’t even look through. I was disappointed. I was expecting something totally different. The lady was nice, but in a town like Oxford, she needs to clean up.

I found this adorable bookstore in 2019..a huge mystery book lover I could spend hours browsing their selection..can't wait to go back this week while I'm in Oxford.

The store is cool for its selection of mystery but it is a bit of hovel. I could imagine that this store could be nicer and spruces up. Having said it’s a great collection of mysteries and a must for mystery lovers in the area.

We were staying overnight in Oxford and had time to explore the little village and what it has to offer. Right on the main highway in town is this little architectural curiosity. Now a friendly bookstore, but from outward appearance it is hard to discern what it once was. One guess was that maybe it was a bank. This proved to be correct as inside, the original vault is still there. The bookstore owner confirmed this and now uses the vault for storage. This is a fun little place. There are many books to buy in a disorganized way. New books, old books, used books, books on shelves, books on the floor. Some are categorized, some not. It is fun to come in and look around. The couple running the place are very friendly and welcoming. A little gem of a place. Go see for yourself. We did buy books and a couple of T-shirts.

Packed store, with a heavy focus on the mystery theme. An absolute ton of mystery novels available, with a smattering in other genres as well. The staff seemed friendly and helpful.

Wonderful local bookstore with current bestsellers, local interest books, mystery novels and a nice selection of staples. The owner, Kathy, is kind and will order any book you need--usually ready for pick-up in just a few days. Feels so nice to buy from my local shop rather than from Amazon.

Super cute bookstore and really fun just to get lost in. I felt like I was treasure hunting in this store we walked out with a Poe mug, awesome socks, and gift for my nephew. If I am ever in the area again I will stop to find something I never expected to find.
