This CVS pharmacy deserves a -50 STARS. Today 3/24/22 at 2:30 p.m. my doctor's office called this location after being on hold for over 10 minutes someone picked up the phone and HUNG IT UP!!! As a customer the only way to get an answer for your question is to go into the store because NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE!! The way this CVS pharmacy (6221 Oxon Hill road) is operating is completely deplorable. While on the phone with the pharmacy waiting for someone to pick up; I drove to CVS still on hold, only to find people standing around talking and no one would answer the phone. CVS seriously needs to fix this pharmacy and their customer service.

I have been a customer at this particular CVS (store/pharmacy) for roughly 15 years. During the first few years the staff/employee/management/pharmacist were very professional and personable. The pharmacist would take time to speak with you and answer all your question. Even if irritate customers would complain about something where the customer was wrong, the pharmacist still handled it in a professional manner. In the past when I called the pharmacy someone would answer the phone after 2 rings and answered any questions I had.Maybe in the last 2 years this store location employees representation has become very, very, unprofessional (except Carolyn, very nice, friendly, and professional) . When I call the pharmacy no one answers, even if I am in the store in line and the phone is ringing no one will answer to just say hold on please; instead the staff is talking and joking with one another. On several occasion my certain prescriptions medication where short 2 or 3 pills and had to go back in the store. When someone answers the phone very unprofessional and sounds agitated and rude, will not let you finish your question(s). There are so many incidents that happened and although they are close to me I had to change where I spend my money.

Worst CVS EVER! Came here for a vaccine appointment…15 minutes later I’m still waiting.. I waited over an hour. The staff is working however they need help! More pharmacist, more techs for the amount of people in the areas. Please, please give this CVS more staff. This probably existed prior to the pandemic and it’s worse now.

Lines are always long for the front register. The pharmacy is even worse. Multiple times I had a 30+ min wait for them to not have even filled my prescriptions. One instance was 2 days after my doctor sent them over electronically and they still didn’t fill it, I had to wait an extra 45 mins on top of the 30 mins in line. The pharm staff is understaffed. I’ve been on hold for over an hr to get info my prescriptions because I refuse to wait in line for them to say they don’t have it ready. Go fill your meds at a different location!!!!!!

The pharmacy alone is ridiculous. Understaffed, and the staff that is there wears their masks on their chin instead of CORRECTLY. They act borderline incompetent having to ask each other about codes and what not that they seem to "forget". It shouldn't have taken 30+ minutes for someone pick up an order they ordered a DAY in advance. They told us all they needed to do was print the label yet no one made sure it was done. We had to ask for anyone to remember to get it done. Never again.

This has to be the worst pharmacy experience I’ve had. I switched here because it’s closer to my house. When I call I was on hold for 20 minutes 2x and no one never came to the phone.The lines are always long. Something needs to be done! No excuse to have customers waiting this long EVERYDAY

Without the sales and coupons, the prices are too high. Also the pharmacy‘s customer service has gone downhill. I used to love the Phamacy Staff with Olga and Brandon but now they are gone and this replacement team NEVER answers the phone. My dad waits for 45 mins on hold and they never answer. That’s a shame to do to seniors and the sick. Plus the lines are so long that I regret picking up any prescriptions. Overall the store is well stocked and the natural hair care section has a wide variety. Cvs-Target is a good alternative with friendly staff and fast service but they don’t have a ton of medication in stock.

I had an appointment at 10am arrived on time & was told due to an emergency I have to come back at 12pm. I asked why wasn’t I notified and this is unacceptable. I left out the store sat in my car and thought about what I told got back out the car went back into the store and spoke to the pharmacist. The pharmacist told me she was busy and look over and said to Beatrice she has an appointment you have to administer her the vaccine. I waited 5 minutes and asked again how much longer do I need to wait. Finally Beatrice came out to administer the vaccine. I asked her why would she lie to me and she tried to make up a reason. I told her that was wrong and she should not have done that. Bottom line this should NEVER happened and the service in the pharmacy need to improve.

I wish there was an option for a zero rating. They NEVER answer the phone, I've been on hold for fifteen minutes and counting. Also most of the young ladies that work here are rude and impatient which is unacceptable as you're dealing with others health. You guys must do better.

I’ve been on hold now for 20 mins to talk to the pharmacy to see if my prescription is there because my doctor said she phoned it in but I never received a update on it being ready. NO ONE has answered the phone IN 20 MINS not even to ask me to continue to hold. How is it possible for NO ONE in a place of business dealing with medications to answer the phone. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!

Ghetto!!! Promotions listed for mask buy one get one free but I was told this mask doesn’t apply and they are all by the registers. Make sure the product thats out is what you are advertising for.

They never answer the phone and you can hear them picking the phone up and putting it back on hold every minute or so. This is ridiculous and very unprofessional. It doesn’t matter if you talk to the staff or the manager of the Cvs nothing has ever changed and they are rude. Please pick up the darn phone people… we have questions that need answered

Not well cleaned.Unhelpful staff.Poorly managed.I will never go back.
