Where are the carts and baskets?? No carts or baskets at the entrance or in the parking lot cart return on a very slow night. I went in to do my normal weekly shopping but could only buy what I could fit in my arms. People walking around holding things in their hands. Would make a lot more money if people had carts or baskets to hold their groceries. Weird business strategy?

Im not a criminal and don't want to be treated as such when I visit the grocery store. When I ran in for a last minute item that they didn't have, I had to be let out of the store by security since I didn't have a receipt to scan for the automatic lock to let me out. I'll take my chances and go other places.

What a scary preview of a dystopian future. They have installed gates now where you have to scan your receipt to exit making every “customer” feel like a criminal. These gates hardly work and make you feel like you are scum while you wait for them to let you out even though you have already paid for the privilege of being price gouged by their corporate overlords… No wonders the young guy helping people there was so unhappy. What a horrible situation
Safeway has clearly learned that the populace needs them more than they need the populace and they are taking advantage. I’m sure the new federal administration won’t help this and safeway’s rich interests are laughing all the way to their private islands.
They appear to be overworking their poor staff to the point of frustration, price gouging their customers and now locking them in while they check themselves out. Wow…. Orwell couldn’t have made this up. I will never be back

If you want to feel like you’re in jail feel free to go to this store. There are gates when you come in (that you can’t leave out of), all of the lanes that aren’t open have gates that you can’t get through and you have to have a receipt to get out of self checkout. If you don’t have a receipt someone loudly yells “OPEN” like you’re in prison so the gates can open and you can leave (they also yell “CLOSE” when you leave). Never again smh, go across the bridge to Alexandria so you can be treated like a human being when shopping

Pleasantly surprised but the store items were stocked and the store staff was present. I had to scan my receipt to exit the self checkout area. That was a first!

I LOVE Safeway!!! They only just recently raised the price of water gallons over 99cents! The overall prices, deals and 0bonuses you get from URewards is a blessing with rising food costs and the freebies yall. Always a pleasant shopping experience and I love that they don't harass you at self check-out. 🫶🏾

Not there to shop, but pick up a FedEx package. It took 2 people 15 minutes to look & determine they could not find it. 😳 I was there the evening before where they closed package pick up at 7pm when then FedEx message stated you can pick up until 8pm. There were packages on the counter as well as in front of the counter where customers walk by after leaving the registers. Now I am left with the talk of finding my package. FedEx needs to remove this location from their drop off list. Absolutely unacceptable.
