“I used them in a previous tax season (yes, this is a late review!) and had a good experience. My taxes are usually quite simple so I usually do them myself. But that year, after a parent died, I didn't understand how to account for the various incomes and TurboTax was asking me questions I couldn't even begin to answer. So, I called around to to find a local CPA. The woman on the phone was very nice and I told her my issues. The only reason I knocked off a star is because she couldn't (wouldn't?) give me a rate on the phone, which I found unsettling. But I made an appointment with Hugh anyway, because I was desperate and about the miss my extension deadline. Once there, thought, I felt much better. The staff and Hugh, were pleasant and courteous. The staff let me use their printer for the stuff I could print off at home. Hugh sat down with me and after some quick friendly banter, we were straight to work. It didn't take long because my taxes were still relatively simple. I thought the price was fair (although I had no idea what to expect), as I was paying for some peace of mind and a big ol' refund! He gave me a folder with all of my documents and printouts, and he filed my taxes right there. It was a relief for me. I will be returning to his services next year because again my taxes will be more difficult than usual. I will give an update sometime in 2024!”
