I usually like going there; however, at no fault of their own, they can't keep up with the vultures that pick it clean. It's been messy and it almost seems as the staff has given up.
EDIT: This is the poster child for why ppl make fun of Dollar General. still to this day, it always looks like it's been looted. They are closed a lot lately. Don't know why they are even open at all..... ( The DG at Lakeshore Plaza is really great...)

I used to have to shop at the Sun valley store which was pretty bad and every time I came to visit my mom in Pasadena I looked forward to shopping at your store. I'm not sure what has gone on recently but the isles are so packed you can't walk through half the shelves are empty and now the stores closed all the time because the air conditioner is broke. I'm afraid to buy any bread, snacks, cookies etc because I'm afraid with the product might be like sitting in temperatures over 100° for long periods of time. I did buy chocolate the other day July 1st, and the chocolate was all stuck in one big hunk from being previously melted. Fix your air conditioning this is ridiculous!

I NEVER leave reviews, let alone negative ones but ugh this place is ridiculous! They literally must pick their own hours because I’ll go there at 9am on a Wednesday or 4pm on a Friday and they are closed! It’s so inconsistent. When they are open it’s just a hot mess. The place is gross. Workers are ALWAYS outside smoking, leaving the store unattended! One day two employees were screaming talking to each other on opposite ends of the store lol just a mess

Dollar general company is definitely a weird company and I won't be shopping for them in the future. I applied for a customer service representative. Filled out all my paperwork and back ground check. I texted the hiring manager once per day in regards to my background status. She gave me a number to check on it. I did, they say your hiring company has your background just waiting on HR of that company to get back to you, okay, I let my manager know, and explained to her how desperately I needed a job. She let me know she would get back to me and, never did. Never contacted me to let me know what happened with my background. They had me waiting and wasting time on this company when I could have bloomed with a different one. Horrible corporate and establishment in general. I'll take my business else where

I have complained about this store for years but it’s the only place to buy stuff near RB that doesn’t cost a fortune. Picked up milk while I was there and it was BAD! Expiration date was 5/29 and was bought on 5/22.Doesn’t surprise me the floors are filthy, the shelves aren’t stocked, no one is ever at the register and the employees all smoke right outside the front door of the store. I’ll be giving corporate a call.

12pm on a Wednesday and the doors are locked. Theres employees inside ignoring people and products all over outside! This is the last time i even bother with this store!!! I live across the street and will drive across town from here on out! This is the worst dollar general around!Update tried to give them a chance and no bags to carry your goods! ????? the absolute worst place around!

Why are you guys NEVER fully stocked? Your store is very convenient to my home and I depend on you guys for much of my shopping. Lately, I come in with a full shopping list and can only get half of what I need. Shelves are always empty! I don't understand. I often go to the Arbutus DG and they are always fully stocked. Why aren't you? Your employees are awesome... friendly and helpful... I have no problem with them. Please get it together with the stocking

This dollar general is very clean but some items are randomly scattered in the shelves. It just renovated a few months ago and the store looks really nice and modern. The prices are a bit higher but I use the dollar general app which has some deals. But to use the app to purchase things the scanning always goes wrong and it doesn't work.

This has to be one of the worst Dollar Generals I've been to. Some people don't drive and rely on our local stores to have what we need..but this store never does!!! The shelves are consistently bare and have been for a long time..never ever fully stocked and the digital coupons never work! However the ladies that work there are really nice and the store is pretty clean!
