Relocated here from Great Lakes, IL in 2023, (Retired US Marine) Visited Perry Point VA on two occasions for a medical and a dental exam. Both procedures were performed in an outstanding manner! All personnel encountered from the security guards to my health care provider were absolutely wonderful! The facility is nice, clean and the location with all the scenery is spectacular! Keep up the outstanding work and Semper Fi!

Personally, I would never go there for my care. Philly VA is worth the drive. Campus reminds of 1940's mental institutions. Mildew smelly.

I am extremely upset in how this place is continuing to operate! Patients of color are being mistreated by their counterparts and their counterparts are getting little to no consequences. Patients of color are also being kicked out for lesser offenses. This is suppose to be a place of healing for ALL of our veterans! The way that it's operating now is causing more turmoil and trauma to it's veteran patients and this needs to change!

Perry Point has gotten rid of the patient advocate, which was verified by the operator. He said all advocate calls are routed to Baltimore when you call Perry Point because they don't have one at PP anymore. Additionally, I was told that PP doesn't allow discussions or questions with resident pharmacists, and the only number he would transfer me to is the new centralized pharmacy, which is in another state. There was never a line at the pharmacy in Perry Point. What I used to love about Perry Point is gone. It used to be a very safe place, now it causes nothing but anxiety. These changes have not increased Veteran satisfaction.

Terrible place for veterans to go to to get care. Fake doctors who can barley speak English as well. Stay away!

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The phones go unanswered. I tried several times throughout the day and week. When I finally got through after a week, the person on the line could not be bothered my reason for calling and transferred me to the non answering line.

Word of advice for those who need fingerprinting for a VA job, go up to Wilmington, DE, instead. First of all, the phone number provided for fingerprinting goes straight to voicemail with a message stating they have limited hours and to email for an appointment. When you email with the address they provided, it comes back as undeliverable. I tried calling the main number and just got the same voicemail. I walked in for the prints, only to find the office locked. Luckily a nice gentleman was able to help me. I'll also add that this building is very old and has a set of stairs to climb to get in. I would think the VA would have more accommodating accessibility. For my PIV card, I choose to go to the VA CENTER in Wilmington instead. I should have just gone there in the first place. They have online appointments, a one-story building, and people available to assist with new hires. Please save yourself the trouble and go to Wilmington, DE, instead.

I have been using Perry point VA for over 5 years and only have positive experiences. Easy to make appointments. Friendly staff. Positive environment. Keep up the good work.

Just wanted to give some insight to the VA. I have had zero assistance when it comes to solving problems I’m having. Every time I call to speak with someone I get sent to another number or another extension and it’s never ending. I call the extension I’m told to call this number and then the person says they can’t help me and quite honestly don’t seem to compassionate. Also I filed for my post 911 benefits it’s been two months never received my paperwork or any type of communication and missed my deadline to return to college.

I gotta give it to Perry Point... for the first time ever all my physical issues have been addressed. My Doc looks like a carpenter but he is the absolute truth. However they do need to find the staff to run the MRI machine there. I would rather cut my right nad off before having to go to Baltimore.

Can someone please explain why the VA would install the only Open MRI within 500 miles at Perry Point? A VA facility that doesn't even have an emergency room. I weclome any administrator to step up and provide any semblance of explanation that could marginally be described as sound and objective... forget rational... I dare you.

No one ever picks up when you call. They never mail my meds so I have to drive and pick them up and they say it's my fault even though they don't mail them out. You won't get an appointment for months if you're lucky. I miss Chicago's VA so much.
