“I recently made an online order, and the day of delivery the store had issues with their van so they used uber eat. Needless to say the delivery did not go so well, when I contacted the store they identified the issue and fixed it right away. Great customer service and even better service.”

“My favorite Japanese gift store in all of DMV area. Been to many Japanese gift stores from Richmond, Va to D.C. to Rockville, MD and this place sells unique gifts that others do not. It’s a bit of a drive from Virginia but we’ll worth it because the location of this store is in an old part of Ellicott so it is fun to look at other stores as well.”

“My wife and I went here for the first time back in January of this year and found a beautiful, colorful and handmade/painted clock (picture of clock hanging in our house attached) by an artist from Massachusetts! Because someone else purchased the one she had in her shop the same day we were there in early January, we had to wait until she got a new one in and it came in Monday of this week. We went to pick it up today. We just love it! The owner of the store couldn't have been nicer thru the whole purchase of the clock. Her shop also has many other unique and artistic items for sale including another clock like the one we just purchased. We will be back!”

“This is a Black woman-owned boutique and truly one of the highlights of my weekend in Baltimore. Pandora’s Box is such a beautiful space. The shop is bright, colorful, and full of personality. Every corner has something eye-catching, from jewelry and tote bags to greeting cards, candles, décor, socks, magnets, and so many fun and creative finds. It’s the kind of store where you walk in and instantly feel inspired.
I also had the chance to meet the owner, Mo, and she was incredible. Warm, welcoming, and full of good energy. Talking with her, you can hear the passion, creativity, and hard work she pours into her business. Many of the items are designed by her, which makes the boutique feel even more special and unique.
I ended up picking up a tote bag, a magnet, and some stickers, and could have easily left with even more. The entire experience felt intentional, personal, and memorable. Pandora’s Box is the type of small business you want to support again and again.
Whether you’re a local or visiting Baltimore, this boutique is absolutely worth the stop. I’ll definitely be returning the next time I’m in the city.”
“I discovered the Boxwood Gallery last week and wanted to share it with everyone.
This gift shop is beautifully merchandised, offering a distinctive selection of high-quality items. It features Polish pottery with their signature blue patterns, as well as a variety of stylish home accents. The children's section boasts an extensive collection of books and toys, carefully curated by the owner, who was a teacher in a previous life. Additionally, there is a small section of casual apparel that is reasonably priced, alongside a substantial selection of purses and jewelry. These range from classic designs, such as Brighton, to more adventurous and colorful contemporary European designers.
The atmosphere that emanates from the place is special and worth mentioning. It is welcoming in a way that few stores are. As a location where customers come to find small gifts, conversations naturally develop, and stories are often exchanged. Some of these stories are poignant, while others are touching.
I spent slightly more than one hour at the venue and interacted with several women, all of whom had frequented the establishment for several years. The experience was exceptionally enjoyable, and I departed feeling relaxed and content. Which is the best side of retail therapy.
As an added bonus, I bought a charming stuffed animal for my grandchild, which Sandy, the owner of the gallery, elegantly gift-wrapped with bubbles and colored ribbon. This was a complimentary service offered by the establishment. What a delightful experience!”

“Whimsical and delightful and worth a visit. Some call it a magical place or a fairy store. I always encourage people to check it out. I buy myself something here every year for my birthday. I’ve been coming for about 20 years. They have things you would have a hard time finding elsewhere and some items are one of a kind. However, the owners can be grumpy or nice depending on their mood I guess. The store has changed very little over two decades with some items sitting in the exact same spot they always have been and it’s not as fun to keep going back because the stock doesn’t rotate much. But if you are looking for a fantasy or fairytale gift, or have a friend who likes mermaids, or somebody who would enjoy a unicorn shirt, this is a place you have to visit.”

“The shop is filled with beautiful & well crafted mosaic art and jewelry by proprietor Gail Rosen and artworks by others. Gail also sells a large selection of interesting and often visually stunning crystals, rocks, towers, fossils, and stone carvings.
I've bought many things from Andamento over the past year, including small mosaics, accent lamps, goddess figures, and gorgeous polished stones. And I just picked up from Gail a commission she made for me for a traditional yin/yang symbol made of black and white glass tesserae. I love it!”

“I love all the little trinkets you could buy here. There's something for everyone. Simple things like soap and candles, a whole section of toys and activities for kids (some are art-themed and/or educational), artsy jewelry (expensive), some clothing items (the t-shirts are very soft!), postcards and posters, mugs ---- just all sorts of stuff. The downside: you'll probably end up spending money ;) In general, it's a feel-good atmosphere, bright lighting, and artsy people.”

“I went to The Gift Shop on their opening morning, and could not be happier with how cute, fun, and perfect this shop is! The owners were also super giving and sweet and gave the first 50 shoppers a swag bag, as well as free drinks and snacks. The colors of the store are fun and vibrant, and as usual, the clothes for purchase are stylish, the accessories are wonderful and hilarious, and the quality of everything is great. They have a variety of souvenirs from t shirt, magnets to mug cups. They also had jewelry. I wanted the crab hat, but i dont think it was for sale.
I didn't buy anything, but it is good to see what they have.
Parking is hard here, so do not recommend bringing a car in this area.”
