I just picked up my little girl from Elysiem. Yvette did a fantastic job! She gave my Phoebe a summer trim and left her looking like a little stuffed animal. She looks ADORABLE!!! I love the attention, gentleness and FANTASTIC job. I highly recommend.

Service is wonderful-no waiting for grooming. In and out with my pup every time. Yvette is so sweet and a great groomer for my toy poodle. Every pup I saw there was beautifully groomed and not in cages. Staff is so great with pups!

Extremely Disappointing Experience, Our Cat Left with Bruises and Cuts:
I feel obligated to share what happened to our long-haired cat after a full shave at this groomer.
Physical injuries
When we picked him up, we found multiple small cuts and several purple, fingerprint shaped bruises. Our veterinarian examined him the same day and confirmed the marks were bruises, not simple skin irritation.
Behavioral change:
Our normally calm, affectionate cat was suddenly fearful, hissing, hiding, and avoiding his favorite toys for days. This dramatic shift strongly suggests he experienced significant stress during the appointment.
Upsell pressure:
At checkout, staff immediately promoted a monthly grooming subscription. Given the injuries and our cat’s distress, the offer felt inappropriate and left us even more upset.
Conclusion:
We will not return, and we encourage other pet owners to seek a groomer whose handling is consistently gentle and safe. Pets deserve care that leaves them healthy and comfortable, not bruised and fearful.

Hands down one of the best if not THE best grooming experiences I have had with my mini Yorkie. I would recommend Yvette (Potomac) AND Lupé (Bethesda) time and time again and I cannot wait until our next appointment. Cici looks fabulous and she has been energetic and playful vs. withdrawn after previous groomers. Thank you so much! You have a fan!!

We have four Maltese and were frustrated trying to get consistently good grooming for them until we found Yvette at Elysiem in Potomac Park. She always does a wonderful job. The facility is very clean and everyone there makes you feel welcome. We also like the fact that they don't crate the dogs so they can socialize. Highly recommended!

Ranger has had 3 baths here and always looks good! And he’s a big, hairy dog to wash and even tougher to dry! They take such good care of the pups!

I recently visited Elysiem in Potomac, MD, with my puppy Coco for her first grooming session, and I was thoroughly impressed by the entire team’s kindness and professionalism. From the moment we walked in, everyone, especially our groomer Ashley, made us feel incredibly welcome. They treated Coco with such care and gentleness, ensuring her grooming experience was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.The attention to detail was fantastic. Coco came out looking adorable with a lovely bow, and the treats she received, which she adored, were a thoughtful touch. The whole experience at Elysiem was a testament to their commitment to providing excellent service and genuine care for their furry clients.I’m truly grateful to Ashley and the entire team at Elysiem for making Coco’s first grooming experience so positive. We will definitely be returning for all her future grooming needs. A big thank you to everyone at Elysiem for taking such great care of my little Coco!

Elysiem Saloon in Bethesda gives consistently terrific service. Reuben takes wonderful care of my Sheltie’s grooming. She has a very full coat that requires a lot of work. Rueben spends the necessary time making her look beautiful. Thank you Reuben and Elysiem.

Ashleigh groomed our puppy for the first time she took care to bath and comb her and trim her nails feet and face. We did a second grooming 2 weeks later to cut her full coat. This was a good introduction in two phases. She was calm when I dropped her the second time and when I picked her up. I also like that dogs are taken by appointment time and not crated while waiting. .

I cannot say enough good things about Elysiem. You know they are great when your dogs run in towards the door. From their ease of scheduling to their love and care of the dogs they groom…Elysiem does it better than any other groomer around. Special shout out to Alexis, my dogs groomer who our dogs (and us) adore. Alexis is not only incredibly professional but she is an expert in grooming. She performs magic and they never leave looking like “puffy poodles” even though they are poodle mixes. Thank you Alexis and Elysiem.
