The place needs updating. The price is reasonable for what you get. The owners there seem like great people. Be careful. There are critters in the night. I had to change rooms and bag my things to make sure they didn’t come home with me.Woke up to some bites and found one after searching for a couple of minutes. Terrifying. Last thing anyone wants from a hotel stay.

Horrible business practices! I cancelled a reservation 3 weeks in advance and they still charged me for the full 2 night stay. Called numerous times asking for a refund only to be lied to about who to contact and when, as well as being hung up on. Duvall Patel at the front desk is a is a Liar. If that's even his real name. Shady Hotel. Don't stay here! I've reported them to BBB and Maryland's Consumer Protection Agency.

Rooms are clean, the staff friendly. Location is a bit far from my work, but, that's not their fault. It's quiet and comfortable.

TV is the worst entertainment system that I have seen in hotel business, I believe that the wifi is too slow to support the demand needed for enjoyment.

Overall experience was good. Breakfast was ok (waffles, bagels, cereals and beverages. The room looks like it was newly renovated as the tub still had a sticker on it and clean. For the price, it’s a good spot for a quick trip that’s close to UMES.

Honestly, this place both times I've been here is REALLY overpriced. More than likely this is either based on vacancy or the fact that I didn't reserve a room in advance, one of the two. Outside of that I won't lie, for an econolodge this place is well kept. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, the beds are soft and clean, the air conditioning units function well, mostly it's nice and quiet, it has a pool and free breakfast. I didn't use the TV or internet. I don't like using hotel wifi, I'd rather use my hotspot. Security risk is too great, can't be too careful.Obviously for the price that I had to pay, I would expect more service and it does have that. It's got free breakfast thankfully, surprisingly it's got a pool, and the coffee surprisingly is actually pretty good. Outside the hotel is lots of open space, a good bonus for those who want to get away from the city.Clearly the place is well kept and maintained. The manager does a good job. All in all, I would recommend finding another hotel to stay at solely because of the price. But if you're desperate and need a place to go. I'd recommend here, you will be taken care of at this place.Rooms: They are cozy, well kept, and clean. Air conditioning works ok. The flooring is pretty nice, the beds are soft and comfortable.Safety: Nice and quiet, no one messes with you.Food & drinks: Free breakfast in the morning. Coffee is surprisingly good, not a bad selection of breakfast foods for an econolodge.

Arrived to a locked lobby and the front desk attendant was sleeping, it was only 10pm when I had to ring a bell. Finally after getting into the lobby, I had to literally tell the person my name 4 times before he figured out what I was saying (an obvious language barrier was causing this confusion) just so I could get my room key. Instantly after walking in the non smoking room I noticed it smelled like an ash tray. The floor was filthy, holes in walls, random mystery substances smeared on walls and on the doors, flooring tiles with gaps like the Grand Canyon exposing the sun floor underneath, really awkward stains on the bed sheets (which appeared to not have been cleaned in quite some time), crusty white and dried substance on the cover that lays at the foot of the bed (I’m not a scientist but I’m pretty sure we all know what that is), a bathroom fan that screams louder than a banshee, a toilet that fires energized plumes of water out of the lid when flushing, and the list continues. This place is literally disgusting. At this point, I think I’m calling it quits when trying to use a choice hotels establishment. Saving a few bucks is not worth contracting Ebola or Herpes. If you read this review, run…….. run as far away from this “hotel” as humanly possible.

Bed bugs! Yellow water, diff room than what was reserved (one night stay). So the woman that checked me in was nice/friendly but that was the only positive. I reserved a room w/king size bed and small kitchenette but the room they sent me to was gutted and under construction so they put me in a standard room with two beds and no kitchenette. Floors were hardwood but very dirty/dusty. The toilet water was yellow so I didnt even want to use the shower. I woke up with itchy bites on my foot and side. I inspected the cover on the mattress and there were small red/rust colored spots in various areas which is evidence of bed bugs. As well as red welts on my body because of bed bug bites. I had packed away my pajamas and dirty clothes in a mesh bag and compression cube and when I got home and unzipped it, there was a dead bed bug on my pj's that had hitched a ride back! Needless to say I threw those clothes out. I was not going to risk an infestation in my home. DO NOT STAY HERE. It may look renovated in the photos but it's still not clean and still outdated.

They charged my card 316. For a show up cancellation. Didn't go into the room. Told them I thought they were closer to the beach. Didn't mind getting charged a no show small fee for holding the room, but then they charged my card 316. What? Rip off.

Literally if I could give this a zero rating I would. I had booked this place through Expedia, which I had a cat and was having trouble finding animal friendly places to stay. They allowed "pets", went to check in and the lady said cats aren't considered pets.... Umm okay not to mention they had a pets allowed sign at the checkin desk which did not mention only dogs. Finally they let us stay (luckily I had a bigger crate!) get to the room, smell of smoke was so bad, beds had burn holes in the sheets, they looked so brown and dirty, the bathroom light didn't even work and the toilet had brown water flushing. Is being two females, did not feel comfortable and asked them to cancel our reservation and give my money back.well that took 1hr maybe a longer for her to understand she charged me a different price than she told me and when she refunded my money to my credit card it declined due to a invalid balance and yet I'm still waiting on my money. Worst experience ever. Do not stay here.

This place is horrible and someone needs to come and inspect it. The rooms were dirty. Dead bugs met us at the door. The bath tub had dead bugs in it. I don't know when the last time the refrigerator had been cleaned out. I will NEVER stay there again.

I wish I could give it NO stars. The man at the front desk is RUDE. He used his key to come in our room before check out time. The rags and towels were dirty upon my arrival. There were dead bugs in the tub. The tub looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in YEARS. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel if it was the last hotel on earth. The guy at the front desk needs to be fired. He treats black guests like we aren’t paying customers as well.
